HIGHWAYS.

An unusual amount of work has been done upon the high- ways during the year, and we feel confident that our streets are in better condition than for many years past.

RAILROAD CROSSINGS.

The danger that existed on the grade crossing on Depot street was called to the attention of the officials of the N. Y., N. Haven & Hartford R. R. with the result that a flagman has been placed at the crossing.

INSURANCE.

Some years ago it was voted by the town not to insure the town property. Since the two recent fires it has seemed desira- ble to again submit the question to the voters, and an article has been placed in the warrant of the present year for this purpose.

MEMORIAL HALL.

The unanimous vote of the Grand Army, Post 22, in tender- ing the use of their hall, temporarily for school purposes, show them to be possessed of the same self-sacrificing spirit as in 1861-65, and merits the cordial thanks and approbation of every citizen of Milford.

GEORGE P. COOK, ABBOTT A. JENKINS, JOSEPH. F. HICKEY.

Selectmen of Milford.
