Voted: To postpone the consideration of the remaining articles in the warrant until Friday evening, November 15, 1907, in upper hall.
During the voting the ballot-box was, by the unanimous consent of the selectmen and town clerk, opened six times for the purpose of taking out the ballots and sorting and counting the same.
First at 8.49 A. M., when it registered 500, then at 10.40 A. M., when it registered 801, then at 11.55 A. M., when it regis- tered 1001, then at 1.25 p. M., when it registered 1149, then at 2.22 P. M., when it registered 1600, and again at the close of

the polls, when it registered 1686. The ballot-box count agreed with the number of names checked at the polls and at the tables. The names of those on the list of voters both at the polls and at the table of the ballot clerks, which had been checked and audibly counted, were found as follows: List at polls 1686, list at table 1686.
The tellers having canvassed the votes given in, and found the total number of ballots cast to be 1686, the same having been sorted and counted, declaration thereof was made in open meeting and recorded as follows. The result was an- nounced at 7.40 P. M.

The ballots cast and the list of voters used at the polls and by the ballot clerks were sealed up and endorsed by the Selectmen and a majority of the election officers. The ballots were then delivered into the custody of the Town Clerk, and also the check lists, in conformity with law in such cases made and provided.
The unused ballots remaining, all soiled and cancelled and certified by the ballot clerks to be such, were secured in an envelope, sealed and delivered to the Town Clerk as pro- vided by law.
Voted to adjourn until Friday evening, Nov. 15, 1907, at eight o'clock in upper hall.
The returns were then filled in and signed by the Select- men and countersigned by the Town Clerk, then sealed and delivered to the Town Clerk to be forwarded to the Secretary of the Commonwealth.

In compliance with Sections 290 and 293, Chapter 560, Acts of 1907, we, the town clerks of the towns of Hopedale, Mendon, Milford, Northbridge and Upton, which towns com- prise the Ninth Worcester Representative District, this day met at the office of the town clerk in said Milford, and can-

vassed the return of votes in said ,town for two representa- tives in General Court to be holden in Boston on the first Wednesday in January next. Said votes were returned to us as by law required, and were given in at a legal meeting held in each of said towns for that purpose on the fifth day of No- vember, A. D. 1907, and was shown by the following tabular statement :-

In pursuance to a vote of Nov. 5, 1907, the meeting was called to order at 8 o'clock by Lowell E. Fales, moderator.
The town clerk read the warrant and the officer's return thereon.

Voted : That the report of the special sewerage assess- ment committee be accepted and placed on file.
