GYPSY AND BROWN TAIL MOTHS.

As the state requires that we should take steps to pro- tect ourselves against the inroads of the gypsy and brown tail moths, which have commenced to invade our town, we recommend an appropriation of $500 to be used if necessary for this purpose. We would also call the attention of our citizens to the damage done our trees by the elm beetle.

Our sister towns of South Framingham and Natick have purchased gasoline spraying machines, which in their case are proving of good service against the last-named pest.

In closing we would say that while the past year has been a strenuous one, both for our citizens and selectmen, and al- though mistakes have undoubtedly been made, yet your board has consistently tried to do its duty in relation to all ques- tions which have come before it.

LUCIUS E. HEATH, TIMOTHY BURNS, MICHAEL S. McMAHON,

Selectmen of Milford.
