As parties living out of town were about to call the attention of the County Commissioners to the necessity of widening and straightening North street, we thought it advisable, as we had a larger sum at our disposal this year than usual, to make some extra repairs on this piece of road, which has been done we think to the general satisfaction of all concerned at an expense of $313.26. Extra repairs were also made on Mayflower street at an expense of $101.30, and on the road around Cut Island at an expense of $105.25. A large amount of work was also done on South Station and Depot streets. The whole expense of the work and material in the several districts, including above, amounts to $4,527.99, and we have on hand a large amount of drain tile for future use, the estimated value of which is $58.50. There is still due from Ashdod Bog Co., on account of work done on stone bridge, $150.
