The Moderator read statutory objections of Barnet Shapiro to Article 30 and William C. Daniels to Article 31. It was voted that a committee be appointed by the moderator to hear the objections.
The following committee was appointed to hear the objec- tions to Article 30: J. Arthur Raddin, Chairman, George B. Conley, Ernest A. Hodgdon.

Voted: That the sum of $2300 be and the same hereby is appropriated for the expenses of the Selectmen's Department, including salaries of $1200.00 for the members of the board.
It is the sense of the Town Meeting that Town Officials and all town employees and clerks shall pay the price of telephones installed in their homes by vote of the Board of Selectmen or School Committee. 8.26 P. M.

GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Saugus, qualified to vote in Town Elections and Town Af- fairs to assemble in the Town Hall, on Monday evening, March Twenty-seventh, Nineteen Hundred and Thirty-Three, at 8 o'clock, to hear and act on the following articles, viz :
ARTICLE 1. To hear and act on reports of Committees.
ART. 2. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the trea- surer to take any and all action required or permitted under the provisions of Chapter 49 of the Acts of 1933 so as to enable the Town to borrow money from the Commonwealth for ordi- nary maintenance purposes, including authorizing the treas- urer, with the approval of the Selectmen, on behalf of the Town to petition the Emergency Finance Board created by said chapter to approve of the Town borrowing money from

the Commonwealth, and including authorizing the treasurer to issue notes of the Town for any sums so borrowed, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of the Town Treasurer and Board of Selectmen.
ART. 3. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the treas- urer to refund any notes now or hereafter issued in anticipa- tion of the revenue of the financial years 1932 and 1933 by the issue of other notes maturing within the period limited by the provisions of Section 17 of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agree- able to the petition of the Town Treasurer and Board of Se- lectmen.
ART. 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the ex- tension, with the approval of the Board specified in Clause nine of Section eight of Chapter 44 of the General Laws, for a period or periods not exceeding in the aggregate six months beyond the maximum term provided by law for an original revenue loan, any loan issued in anticipation of the revenue of the year 1932, and to authorize the treasurer to issue notes for the periods so approved, in the manner provided by Chapter 303 of the Acts of 1932, or to see what action the Town will take in the matter, agreeable to the petition of the Town Treasurer and Board of Selectmen.
You are hereby directed to serve this Warrant by posting attested copies thereof at the usual places seven days, at least, before the time of holding said meeting.
HEREOF, FAIL NOT, and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of said meeting.

At this time, Moderator Frank P. Bennett, Jr. took the floor. Herbert Mason was appointed Moderator, pro tem.
Voted: That the sum of $202,000.00 be and the same here- by is appropriated for Schools and Schoolhouse Repairs, in- cluding an expenditure not to exceed $1,600.00 for the fire- proofing of basement stairs and the providing of fire-exits from the Study Hall in the High School Building, and that all employees of the school department receiving $1,200.00 or less per year donate 5% for welfare purposes and such employees receiving more than $1,200.00 donate 10% for welfare pur- poses. 11:20 P. M.
A motion was offered to reconsider the appropriation for schools. The motion was lost.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:21 to convene again April 10, 1933 at 8 o'clock.
