For quarantine and contagious disease cases, a sum not exceeding $3,000.00;


For Bacteria examinations and Health Tests, a sum not exceeding $950.00, and a member of the Board of Health may be appointed to do this work at this salary;


For the maintenance of town dumps, a sum not exceeding $5,633.00, provided that not exceeding $4,632.50 shall be for personal services;


For the services of a Dental Assistant, a sum not exceeding $2,780.00, including transportation expenses;


For dentists, dental supplies and transportation, a sum not exceeding $4,200.00;


For plumbing inspection the sum of $5,991.00 which includes trans- portation expense;


For a public nurse, a sum not exceeding $4,690.00, which includes transportation expense;


For Premature Infant Cases, a sum not exceeding $3,000.00;


Not more than $150.00 may be used for travel outside the Common- wealth, in accordance with Section 5, Chapter 40, Clause 34, of the General Laws.

From the Administration appropriation, the Town Accountant shall transfer to the Town's General Fund an amount equal to whatever monies are made available by the State or Federal Governments for any adminis- trative expense for the fiscal year under this item.

ARTICLE 4. (By Direction of Selectmen). To see what sum of money the Town will vote from surplus for the use of the Assessors in deter- ming the tax rate for the year 1960 or take any other action in relation thereto.

ARTICLE 5. (By Direction of Selectmen). That the Selectmen be authorized to sell or otherwise dispose of personal property and any real estate of which the Town has possession or title, including all property taken for non-payment of taxes, all such cases of sale to be made by public auction or private sale as the Selectmen may deem for the best interest of the Town, and that the Board or Officer in charge of any other Town Department may, with the approval of the Board of Selectmen, sell at public auction or private sale, as the Board of Selectmen may approve, any personal property belonging to said Department which in the opinion of the Officer or Board in charge of the Department which is no longer needed by the Town and which in the opinion of the Select- men is not needed by any other Department, provided that in each case involving real estate, majorities of the Planning Board, Board of Public Works and Park Commissioners respectively vote to concur in the opinion that the property will not be needed for parks, playgrounds or other public use, or take any other action in relation thereto.

Provided further, that the final naming of those streets accepted must meet with the ap- proval of the Planning Board and the work on these streets shall be per- formed under the direction of the Superintendent of Public Works. further provided that the sum of $2,400.00 be raised and appropriated for the necessary water mains in said streets and that the water mains be installed by the Water Department before any work is done by the Street Department.

To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to reconstruct, resurface, widen, straighten, relocate or work, Commercial and Pleasant Streets and/or any other streets, or any portion of said ways and for the building of any bridges, drains and conduits, or securing easements which may be necessary, in connection therewith, and to see whether the Town will authorize the Board of Selectmen to accept deeds of any reservation strips existing in connection with said street, provided the State or County, or both, will appropriate a sum of money to help defray the expenses of such work; and transfer from surplus funds that the Town may have, the County and State share of said cost, the amount of this transfer or reimbursement to be credited to the account from which it came; and will authorize the Board of Selectmen to acquire by gift, purchase or take by right of eminent domain, in fee or otherwise, for all purposes of a public street and highway in and over said street and such property as may be necessary, or take any other action in relation thereto.

That the sum of $80,000.00 be appropriated to the Board of Public Works from available funds (Excess and Deficiency) to reconstruct, re- surface, straighten, relocate and work Commercial Street. and/or any other street, or any portion of conduits of said ways and for the building of any bridges, drains or securing any easements which may be necessary and that the Board of Selectmen is authorized to accept any deed of any reservation strips in connection with said streets; and provided further,

that all damages resulting or occasioned by the construction shall be a charge against the sum appropriated; the Board of Selectmen are hereby authorized to acquire by gift or purchase, or take by Right of Eminent Domain, in fee or otherwise for all purposes of public streets or highways in and over said street; that the above sum named shall be made available only if the State or County, or both, under General Laws (Ter. Ed.) Chapter 90, will pay a sum of money proportionate to the cost of construc- tion under the provisions of said chapter; all payments from State and County to revert to the Excess and Deficiency Account; provided further, that such work shall be done by private contract under the direction of the Board of Public Works and/or the State Department of Public Works. $80,000.00
