Thomas Trust Fund.
Miss Lucy O. Thomas, recently deceased, bequeathed to the Town of Scituate one thousand dollars, the income of which is to be expended, under the direction of the Selectmen, for the relief of indigent single women. Said sum has been received by the Selectmen, and by them deposited in the Suffolk Savings Bank, Boston. No expense has been incurred under the Thomas fund.

ARTICLES IN WARRANT For Town Meeting, March 7, 1881.
ART. 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
ART. 2. To hear the report of the Selectmen and other Town officers and act thereon.
ART. 3. To choose all necessary Town officers for the year ensuing.
ART. 4. What sum of money will the Town raise for the sup- port of schools, repairs of roads and bridges, support of poor and other necessary charges for the current year, and appropriate the same.
ART. 5. To establish the rate of wages for removing snow from the public highways for the current year.
ART. 6. To revise and accept the list of jurors as prepared by the Selectmen.
ART. 7. To see if the Town will authorize the Overseers of the Poor to contract, at their discretion, for the support of the Town paupers.
ART. 8. To see if the Town will authorize their Treasurer to borrow money under the direction of the Select- men in anticipation of taxes.

ART. 9. Will the Town cause a statement of their financial report to be printed and distributed in the month of February next ?
ART. 10. To hear the report of any committees heretofore chosen or act thereon.
ART. 11. To make allowances to Town creditors.
ART. 12. Will the Town raise and appropriate the sum of fifty dollars to be expended under the direction of Post No. 31, G. A. R., on Decoration Day ?
ART. 13. To see if the Town will allow a discount on all taxes paid on or before the first day of October, or act thereon.
ART. 14. £ To see what action, if any, the Town will take with regard to its beaches and shore property, and its rights in the same, and the use and leasing the same or any part thereof.
ART. 15. To see what action the Town will take with regard to its public landings.
ART. 16. To see what action the Town will take with regard to the old way leading from Scituate Harbor to Cedar Point.
ART. 17. To see what action the Town will take toward au- thorizing the Town Treasurer to supply to the Committee on Beaches, from time to time, such sums of money, not exceeding in all three thou- · sand dollars (already raised and appropriated) as they may require it, to be expended under the direction of said committee in ascertaining the rights of the Town in the beaches and shore property now claimed by said Town.
