ARTICLES IN WARRANT
For Town Meeting March 6, 1882.
ART. 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.
ART. 2. To hear the report of the Selectmen and other Town officers, and act thereon.
ART. 3. To choose all necessary Town officers for the year ensuing.
ART. 4. To see what sum of money the Town will raise for the support of schools, repairs of roads and bridges, support of poor, and other necessary charges for the current year, and appropriate the same.
ART. 5. To establish the rate of wages for removing snow from the public highways for the current year.
ART. 6. To revise and accept the list of jurors as prepared by the Selectmen.
ART. 7. To see if the Town will authorize the Overseers of the Poor to contract, at their discretion, for the support of the Town paupers.
ART. 8. To see if the Town will authorize their Treasurer to borrow money, under the direction of the Select- men, in anticipation of taxes.
ART. 9. To see if the Town will cause a statement of their financial report to be printed and distributed in the month of February next.

ART. 10. To hear the report of any committee heretofore chosen, or act thereon.
ART. 11. To make allowances to Town creditors.
ART. 12. Will the Town raise and appropriate the sum of fifty dollars to be expended under the direction of Post No. 31, G. A. R., on Decoration Day.
ART. 13. To see if the Town will allow a discount on all taxes paid on or before the first day of October next, or act thereon.
ART. 14. To see if the Town will, by its vote or otherwise, ask the Legislature to extend to women who are citi- zens the right to hold Town offices, and to vote in Town affairs on the same terms as male citizens.
ART. 15. To see if the Town will grant the use of the East Grammar school-room for the use of the Satuit Library Association on Saturday afternoons, or act thereon.
ART. 16. Shall licenses be granted for the sale of intoxicating liquors in this Town for the year ensuing.
ART. 17. To see if the Town will give the name of Garfield Avenue to the road laid out and built over land of Edwin Bailey and others, known as the Bailey road.
ART. 18. To see if the Town will cause the financial report to be closed on the first day of January, instead of the first day of February as heretofore.
ART. 19. Will the Town cause their warrants for elections and Town affairs to be posted in each of the Post- offices in Town, instead of the meeting-house, as heretofore.
ART. 20. To see what action, if any, the Town will take with regard to its beaches and shore property, and its rights in the same, and the use and leasing the same or any part thereof.

ART. 21. To see what action the Town will take with regard to its public landings.
ART. 22. To see what action the Town will take toward authorizing the Town Treasurer to supply to the Committee on Beaches, from time to time, such sums of money, not exceeding in all three thou- sand dollars (already raised and appropriated) as they may require it, to be expended under the direction of said committee in ascertaining the rights of the Town in its beaches and shore prop- erty now claimed by said Town.
ART. 23.
To see if the Town will discharge its Beach Com- mittee.
ART. 24. To see if, (on condition that the Directors of the Scituate Pioneer Library will for two years remit the fee of half a dollar, and will make weekly delivery of books free to all citizens and residents of Scituate,) the Town will appropriate for one year, 1882, the sum of one hundred dollars or more, to be expended by the Directors in books for the aforesaid library.
ART. 25. To see if the Town will reconsider the vote passed the twenty-fifth day of September, in the year 1880; also the vote passed the twenty-eighth day of January, in the year 1882, relative to appropriating and paying George Lunt the sum of five hundred dollars for alleged services, or act thereon.
ART. 26. Will the Town purchase an Almshouse.
ART. 27. Will the Town hold all persons harmless in taking rockweed, from high to low water mark, between the North River and the Cohasset line, agreeable to the Auditor's report.
