ART. 7 .- Voted, That the Treasurer be authorized to convey to Thomas W. Lawson for the consideration of $1.00 a quit claim deed of land known in the town as the Common, between Branch, Willow and Central streets, re- serving therefrom enough land for a Soldiers' Monument.


ART. 8 .- Voted, That the Highway Surveyor be in- structed by the town to act on Article 8 in regard to special repairs on Branch and Central streets, as in his judgment repairs are needed.


ART. 9 .- Voted, That the town do authorize the Select- men to have placed in three different sections of the town public drinking fountains or troughs for horses, dogs and human beings.


ART. 10 .- Voted, That the Selectmen be instructed to reimburse Hector Frazier, amount left to their judgment.

ART. 14 .- Voted, For members of the Board of Health, George O. Allen, for one year; Dr. Charles H. Davie, for two years; Alfred H. Litchfield, for three years.


Resolutions adopted by the town unanimously :


Whereas, our beloved and honored townsmen, George H. Webb and Charles Manson have been called to the higher life while in the discharge of their duties as Selectman and Town Clerk, respectively,


Therefore be it resolved that we citizens of Scituate in Town Meeting assemble, do hereby tender to the families of the deceased, our sincere and heartfelt sympathy in their sad bereavement, and embrace this opportunity to express to them this testimonial of the high esteem in which we held them as public officers and private citizens.

Voted, That the town accept the layout of the County Commissioners, and proceed at once to build the road by the day, employing only citizens of the town, and employing only teams owned by citizens of the town.

Voted, That the Treasurer be instructed under the direc- tion of the Selectmen to borrow $10,000 to build said road. money so borrowed on ten and fifteen years' time.
