Article 56. To see if the Town will designate, by by-law or otherwise, all or any part of each of the ways hereinafter mentioned as a "through way," as provided

in section 9 of chapter 89 of the General Laws as amend- ed, or otherwise; make by-laws for the regulation of. traffic, carriages and/or vehicles; provide `for signs, lights, markings, and signal systems or devices, on ways ; make an appropriation in connection therewith; or take any action relating to all or any of the foregoing.
Said ways are Massachusetts Avenue from the Lex- ington town line to the Cambridge city line; Broadway from Massachusetts Avenue to the Somerville city line; Medford Street from Massachusetts Avenue to the Med- ford city line; Mystic Street from Massachusetts Avenue to the Winchester town line; and Pleasant Street from Massachusetts Avenue to the Belmont town line.
Article 57. To see if the Town will prohibit any and all persons from carrying on the business of renting boats or bathing suits, for use upon or in so much of thè waters of any great pond as is situated within the town, without first obtaining a license so to do from the Sel- ectmen; provide for the payment of a fee for any such license; or take any action relating thereto.
Article 58. To see if the Town will vote to appoint a committee of five to investigate the needs and possi- bilities of developing the bathing facilities at the Arling- ton Heights Reservoir and Spy Pond and report back at the next town meeting, or take any action relating thereto.

Vernon Street; Southwesterly by Gray Street; Northwesterly by a line 175' from and parallel to Mt. Vernon Street; and Northeasterly by Albermarle Street; or take any action relating thereto.

In pursuance of the foregoing Warrant the legal voters of the Town of Arlington met in their respective voting places in said Town on Monday, the third day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hun- dred and thirty, at seven o'clock in the forenoon.

The foregoing officers were sworn to the faithful performance of their duties. The necessary ballots pre- pared for each precinct and all other paraphernalia for the proper conduct of the election was supplied by the Town Clerk and turned over to the officers of the various precincts.
The polls were declared open in each precinct at seven o'clock in the morning and remained open until

eight o'clock in the evening, at which time after due notice they were declared closed.
The ballots were counted by the election officers in each precinct, the tally sheets and total tally sheets prepared by the Town Clerk being used.
The ballots cast, after being counted, were enclosed in envelopes, sealed, signed by the election officers, and encased in wooden boxes, which were locked and sealed, and the same were delivered to the Registrars of Voters in the Town Clerk's Office.
The Town Clerk and Registrars of Voters upon receipt of the returns from the several precincts forth- with canvassed the same and announced the result.
