Article 5 taken up. (Transfer of Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Funds.)
Voted: (Unanimously) That the sum of two hundred (200) dollars be transferred from (Mt. Pleasant Cemetery) Sale of Lots and Graves Fund to the (Mt. Pleasant Ceme- tery) Perpetual Care Fund for the perpetual care of the westerly one-half of lot No. 208 on Cross Avenue in said cemetery, containing 448 square feet, provided that as a part of the same transaction all interests and rights in the other one-half of said lot are vested in the Town; and that the Board of Cemetery Commissioners be and hereby is authorized to do whatever may be necessary or proper to effectuate such transfer.
The Moderator declared Article 5 disposed of.
Article 6 taken up. (Amendment of Town By-Law)
Voted: That Article 1 of the Town By-Laws be and hereby is amended by inserting after Section 1 the follow- ing new section:
SECTION 1A-In accordance with the provisions of Section 4 of Chapter 43A of the General Laws, entitled "Standard Form of Representative Town Meeting Gov- ernment," accepted by the Town at the Annual Meeting of 1935, and any amendments thereof and additions thereto, the following officers are designated as and shall be town meeting members at large, namely: the town moderator, the town clerk, the town treasurer, the town collector of taxes, the chairman of the board of selectmen, the chairman of the board of public works, the chairman of the assessors of taxes, the chairman of the school com- mittee, the chairman of the planning board, the chairman of the park commissioners, the chairman of the board of health, the chairman of the sinking fund commissioners, the chairman of the trustees of the Robbins Library, the

chairman of the cemetery commissioners, and the chair- man of the finance committee.

Article 7 taken up. (Amendment of Town By-Law.)
Voted: (Unanimously) That Section 2 of Article 1 of the Town By-Laws be and hereby is amended by striking out the last sentence of said section and inserting in place thereof the following:
"The Town Clerk shall mail to every Town Meeting Member a notice of the time and place at which each representative town meeting is to be held at least seven days before the meeting and shall also cause notice of such meeting to be published in at least one local newspaper. The Town Clerk shall mail to every Town Meeting Mem- ber a notice of the time and place at which any adjourned session of a representative town meeting is to be held at least twelve hours before such session and shall also cause a notice of such session to be posted in each precinct, "so that said section of the Town By-Laws shall read as follows:
"The Selectmen shall, before calling a Town Meet- ing, post a notice of their intention so to do, in each pre- cinct in the town, at least five days before closing the warrant calling the meeting. A copy of the warrant for a meeting shall be posted in each precinct at least seven days before the day of the meeting and a copy left at every dwelling house in the town previous to the day of meeting. The Town Clerk shall mail to every Town Meeting Mem- ber a notice of the time and place at which each representa- tive town meeting is to be held at least seven days before the meeting and shall also cause notice of such meeting to be published in at least one local newspaper. Voted: (Unanimously) That Section 6 of Article 2 of the Town By-Laws be and hereby is amended by striking out the words "legal voters" in the last line of said Section 6 and substituting therefor the words "town meeting members" so that said Section 6 shall read as follows: "Section 6. On all questions submitted for the considera- tion of the Town Meeting there shall be a roll call when requested by twenty or more town meeting members present at the meeting.
The Moderator declared Article 8 disposed of.
Article 9 taken up. (Land with Buildings for En- largement of Town Yard).
The recommendation of the Finance Committee being put before the meeting was lost by a standing vote, Messrs. Snow, Bixby and Homer acting as duly sworn tellers. Ninety-nine voted in favor and fifty-three in opposition-not the necessary two-thirds.

To hear and act on the reports of the permanent committee under vote of the Town passed March 24, 1919, on the Town Yard; of the committee under vote of the Town passed April 5, 1926, to investi- gate and consider the matter of additional school accom- modations; of the committee under vote of the Town passed April 14, 1927, to make a comprehensive study of a community or other building as a memorial to com- memorate the services and sacrifices of persons who served in the World War; of the committee under vote of the Town passed April 2, 1930, to secure plans and estimates for the construction of an elementary school on Pheasant Avenue; of the committee under vote of the Town passed May 26, 1930, to investigate and study the Public Library accommodations at the Heights; of the committee under vote of the Town passed June 21, 1932, to investigate and report on the advisability of acquiring a suitable playground or park for small children in the easterly section of the Town; of the committee under

vote of the Town passed April 3, 1935, to inquire into the inequalities of pay and pensions among Town officers, officials and employees; of the committee under vote of the Town passed March 27, 1935, to consider the amend- ment, alteration, repeal or revision of, or additions to, the Town's by-laws; and of other Town Boards and officers and of the Finance and other committees hereto- fore appointed.

To see if the town will authorize the town treasurer, with the approval of the selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1937, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes that may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, General Laws.
Article 6. To see if the Town will authorize its Col- lector of Taxes to use all means of collecting taxes for the year 1936 which a Town Treasurer may use when ap- pointed a Collector of Taxes.
Article 7. To see if the Town will make an appro- priation for the Extension of Water Mains; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended or take any action relating thereto.
Article 8. To see if the Town will make an appro- priation for the Extension of a Water Main on James Street; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.
