Article 58. To see if the Town will accept the laying out of a Town way from Florence Avenue to Appleton Street, sub- stantially in the location of the private way known as Wachusett Avenue, as made and filed in the office of the Town Clerk by the Board of Selectmen under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of betterments; establish said way; make an appropri- ation for said laying out and the construction of said way; deter- mine in what manner the money shall be raised; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 59. To see if the Town will make an appropriation under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of better- ments, for the original construction of public ways in the Town, the laying out of which is accepted at this meeting, including land damages and the cost of pavement and sidewalks laid at the time of said construction; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.
Article 60. To see if the Town will authorize the acquisition by purchase, eminent domain or otherwise of any land easements or rights therein, including an easement or easements in land adjoining the location of any or all public ways, the laying out

of which is accepted at this meeting, consisting of a right to have the land of the location protected by having the surface of such adjoining land slope from the boundary of the location; make an appropriation for such acquisition; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.
Article 61. To see if the Town will accept the alteration of the way known as Russell Street, on the northwesterly corner at Mystic Street and on the southeasterly corner at Water Street, as made and reported by the Board of Selectmen, in their capacity as a Board of Survey; will make an appropriation for the taking, alteration, construction of, and specific repairs upon all or any part of said way as now existing or hereafter altered; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.
Said way as so altered is to include the parcels of land bounded and described as follows:
1. Beginning at the point of intersection of the westerly side line of Mystic Street and the northeasterly side line of Russell Street, thence northwesterly on said northeasterly side line of Rus- sell Street a distance of 28.80 feet to a point thence easterly, north- easterly, northerly and northwesterly through private lands on a curve to the left with a radius of 20 feet a distance of 38.55 feet to a point on the westerly side line of Mystic Street, thence south- easterly on said westerly side line of Mystic Street a distance of 28.80 feet to the point of beginning and containing about 200 square feet.
2. Article 68. To see if the Town will transfer the sum of five thousand ($5,000.00) from Mt. Pleasant Cemetery sale of graves and lots fund to the Cemetery Commissioners for the improvement of the Town Cemetery.

Article 85. To see if the Town will appoint a committee to be known as the Arlington Brotherhood Committee, the purposes of which shall be to promote understanding and amicable relations between persons and groups, juvenile and adult, in the Town and to advise and assist other agencies, both public and private, con- cerned with such matters; said committee to consist of seven (7) citizens of the Town of Arlington who shall be appointed by the Moderator and who shall serve without compensation and shall, so far as practicable, be so selected as to provide representation on the committee of all major racial, religious and economic in- terests in the Town; the initial appointments to said committee to be made in the manner following: two (2) members to be appointed to serve for a term of one year, two (2) for a term of two years and three (3) for a term of three years and until their respective successors are appointed, and thereafter the Moderator to appoint annually such number of members as there are terms expiring in such year to serve for a period of three years and until their successors shall be duly appointed and qualified, vacancies to be filled by appointment in the same manner as original appointments for the period of the unexpired term, said committee to choose annually from its members such officers as it shall deem desirable; appropriate a sum of money for the use of said committee; or take any action in any way relating to all or any part of the foregoing.
