annual Town meeting March 6, 1961
The voters of Boxford met at the Masconomet Regional District High School, Boxford, on march 6, 1961, at 8 P.M. William J. Greenler, Jr. presided as moderator over the two hundred members present.
Before the articles of the warrant were taken up. Mr. & Mrs Harry I Cole evere escorted to the stage. and Seth L. Kelsey, speaking for the townspeople, gave a resume of Mr. Cole's continuous service to the town extending over a half century as Selectman, assessor, Overseer of the Poor, and member of The Board of Health. Raymond Perley, a long time fellow member of the Board of Selectmen, presented Mr. Cole with an engraved plaque , and Mrs. Cole was presented with a bouquet of red and white carnations by Ers. Simeon & Pearl , a friend of many years. The presence of photographers and television men from the metropolitan area demonstrated That Mr. Cole has attained a stature beyond the unquestioned affection of his townspeople.

Voted to raise and appropriate the sum of 6000,00 to be used in conjunction with state and County! funds to continue the improvement of Topsfield RL. and of Washington Street under Chapter 90 with the following restrictions:
the plan for the improvement of Topsfield Road in the area as surveyed and mapped by the County engineers, will not be accepted without the prior and complete approval of Patrick J. Horgan and Robert H. Poor, both of whom have generously offered to give of their land to the Town for this purpose.
The extent of the modification of Topsfield Road shall be restricted to the present lands belonging to the aforementioned Horgan and Poore. Further, that the balance of the 6000,00 of article 14 twill be used for the improvement of that section of Washington St. in West Boxford at or near the residence of Henry W. The Voters of Boxford met at the Masconomet Regional School on Nov. 27, 1961 at 8 p.m with William & Greender, Jr., serving as moderator. after a prayer by Rev. Ellsworth Comins, the articles of the warrant were acted upon as follows:

Voted to accept an amendment of the agreement establishing the Masconomet Regional School District initiated by the Regional District School Committee on May 24, 1961, and providing that capital costs will or apportioned in accordance with the number of Cobren residing in each town and receiving education, excepting certain special education, in grades ? through 12 at such town's expense as of October / next preceding the

The vaters of Boxford met at the Masconomet Regional District High School at 8 PM on march 5, 1962 with about 275 residents present. William J. Greenter, Jr., the moderator, called for a moment of silent prayer before opening the meeting.
Charles Love, representing the Explorer Scouts, presented the town with a new 50 star flag, and Mr. Harry L. Cole, chairman of the Board of Selectmen, accepted the gift. Other Explorer Scouts on the stage where Christophdes- Cross, David French, and Pent Nickerson.
Harry E. Track, chairman of the Board of assessors presented Mr Simeon S. Pearl with a scroll in recognition of his 36 years as tay collector from 1925 to march 1961. Mro. Simeon Pearl received a bouquet of flowers. The action taken on the business meeting was as forcours :

Condition on receipt: Book in original cover. Binding and sewing deteriorated. Paper acidic, weak at folds, some tears at edges.
Treatment: Book dismantled and binding materials removed. Paper mended with Japanese tissue or Crompton heat set tissue. Paper deacidified using magnesium oxide. Book resewn and bound in Hewit vegetable tanned goatskin and acid-free materials.
