In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of said Town, qualified to vote in elections and in Town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall in said Eastham on Mon- day, the sixth day of February next, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon, then and there to act on the following articles :---


Article 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said meeting.


Article 2. To hear the reports of the Selectmen and all reports and committees and act thereon.


Article 3. To choose all necessary Town Officers for the ensuing year.

Article 4. To see if the town will elect a Director for the Cape Cod Extension Service.


Article 5. To fix the rate for the collection of taxes assessed for the year 1928.

Article 6. To see what sum of money the Town will raise for the Public Library and make an appropriation for the same. 25.00


Article 7. To see in what manner the Town will dis- pose of its refunded dog tax, and act thereon. School


Article 8. To see in what manner the Town will sup- port its poor for the ensuing year.

Article 9. To see if the Town will vote to appropri- ate the sum of $2,000. provided the State makes a satisfac- tory allotment for the upkeep and maintenance of Town Roads, under Chap. 81, Sections 26-29 General Laws, as amended.

Article 10. To see in what manner the Town will re- pair its roads and bridges and appropriate money for the same $ 200,00


Article 11. To see if the Town will give the Collector of Taxes the same power the Treasurer has when Collector.

Article 16. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the use of the Orleans Fire Department when called to Eastham building fires, or do or act anything thereon.


Article 17. To see if the Town will vote to petition for the installation of an accounting system by the Common- wealth, Chap. 516, Acts 1922.


Article 18. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money for the purchase of forest fire fighting apparatus, or do or act anything thereon $ 50,00


Article 19. To see if the Town will vote to rescind the vote whereby they voted to leave the shellfishery in the hands of the Selectmen, or do or act anything thereon.


Article 20. To see if the Town will vote to spend the money received from the shellfish permits, for police pro- tection of the shellfish industry in the Town of Eastham, and if any unexpended balance, the same to be used for the planting of shellfish seed, if the authorities having in charge the shellfish industry in said Town deem it expedient, or do or act anything thereon.


Article 21. To see if the Town will vote to purchase a tractor equipped for road and snow work, and appropriate a sum of money for the same, or do or act anything thereon.

Article 26. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of $100. the same to be paid to the State Depart- ment of Conservation as the Town of Eastham's contribu- tion toward the payment of the Fire Observation Tower in South Wellfleet. $100.NO


Article 27. To see if the Town will vote to appropri- ate the sum of $500.00 for the purchase of the land of the Village Improvement Society, so-called, of Eastham, as deeded to the Trustees thereof by two deeds, one of which is from Seth Knowles et als to the Trustees of Village Im- provement Society, recorded in Barnstable County Regis- try of Deeds in Book 246, Page 137, and the other of which is from James B. Steele to the Trustees of said Village Im- provement Society, recorded in said Barnstable County Reg- istry of Deeds in Book 352, Page 448, together with the "Old Wind Grist Mill" standing thereon. This appropri- ation for the purchase thereof being conditional, however, upon the return of the said $500. appropriation to the Town of Eastham by the said Village Improvement Society

under a trust agreement of some form to the Selectmen of Eastham and their successors as trustees of a sinking fund, so-called, to be created in said trust agreement, whereby the principal is always to remain unexpended, but the income from said $500.00 or any part thereof, to be expended an- nually, if necessary, for the proper care and upkeep of said "Old Wind Grist Mill" and the premises, or to be allowed to accumulate as unexpended income, which unexpended in- come shall not, in any event, be considered as principal, but may be used at any time that necessity should require in the said upkeep, preservation and repair of said Mill and prem- ises.


Article 28. To see if the Town will vote to build fences around the Town Dumps, or do or act anything regarding Dumps, and appropriate money for the same. (By request).


Article 29. To see if the Town will vote to lay out a road from a point on the Great Pond Road beginning at the Southeast corner of land formerly owned by the late Freeman Collins as the road now runs and following the Edward Clark right of way road to a point near building on farm of Abbott S. Knowles thence westerly passing the house of Mrs. Evangeline Baker and continuing as the road now runs to the Town Road leading from the Little Her- ring Pond and beyond to the Camp Ground. And make an appropriation for the same or do or act anything thereon. (By Request). 300,00 Lebret


Article 30. To see if the Town will pay a bounty of $1.00 each for all woodchucks killed in the Town during the ensuing year and appropriate a sum of money for the same and do or act anything thereon. (By Request).


Article 31. To see if the Town will vote to appoint a

committee to investigate the advisability of establishing a town forest. Said committee to report at the next regular town meeting.


Article 32. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of $300. for a forest patrol. Said sum to be expended at discretion of the Selectmen.


And you are directed to serve this Warrant, by post- ing up attested copies thereof at the Blacksmith Shop of Charles Feltis in South Eastham, the Post Office in East- ham and the Post Office at North Eastham in said Town, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.


Hereof fail not, and make due return of this Warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of meeting, as aforesaid.
