Rogers Essex & Province of ye Massachusetts Bay in New To England Clerk & Mary his Wife send Greeting Byfield Whereas John Leverett Esq' Late Governonr of ye Province aforsª Late Deed Purchased of Majt Wm Philips Late of Winter Harbour in ye County of York in ye Province aforsd a Tract or Quantity of Land contain- ing three Square English Miles lying & being above Saco Falls in ye County of York & Province aforest being upon a Streight Line by ye sa River three English miles North wes-

terly & to run up the Main Lands so far the the Full Three English Miles so as yt it may be three English Square Miles and is butting on ye sd Saco River & on ye Lands of ye sd Wm Philips Northerly & by ye Land of ye s" W" Philips westerly & is Bounded by ye Land of Richard Russell South- erly with all ye Trees Timber woods Underwoods Meadows Waters Ways Fishing Fowling Hunting Common of Pasture wth ve Priviledge of a Landing Place below ye Falls upon ye sª River where a vessell may Float to Load & for ye Build- ing of Ware houses & keeping of Lumber what ye sd Lever- ett his Heirs Administrators or Assigns shall have occasion for as in & by a certain deed bearing Date ye Seventh Day of May 1669 Duly Executed and of Record in ye Registry of Deeds for the County of York Reference thereunto being had may more fully appear And Whereas ye st Mary Rogers in Right of her Late Father John Leverett late of Cam- bridge Esq' deed who was one of ye Grandsons of ye sd late Governour Leverett stands Justly Entitled to Two third Parts of one Quarter Part of all ye sd Tract of Land & Prem- ises the whole Tract containing Five Thousand Seven Hun- dred and Sixty Aeres Now Therefore Know ye yt we ye st Nathanael & Mary Rogers for & in consideration of ye sum of Four Hundred and Five Pounds in good & Lawfull Pub- lie Bills of Credit on ye Province afors' to us in hand at & before the enscaling & Delivery here of well & truly Paid by Nathan' Byfield of Boston in ye County of Suffolk & Province of the Massachusetts Bay aforsd Esqr the Receipt whereof we hereby acknowledge & thereof & & of every Part & Parcell thereof Do hereby acquit & Discharge the sa Nathan1 Byfield his Heirs Exeers & Admin's and every of them for ever by these Presents Have given granted bar- gained sold released enfeofed conveyed & confirmed & by these Presents do fully & absolutely give grant bargain sell release enfeoffe convey & confirm unto ye sa Nathan' Byfield his Heirs & & assigns forever Two Third parts of one Quarter Part of all ye s' Tract of Land & Premises above .
