of 'J. A. Stamps of the Salvation army.
abandoned her a year ago. She says they were married August 1891 at Bolivar at which time he used the name J. A. Savage. They had a child. Stamps denies the charge and says he was married 25 years ago in Warsaw and was still living with that wife. Mrs. Stamps and her daughter Mamie Metz say Stemps was never away from their home for any long period. Stamps has lived in Springfield. a long time and makes bricks.

The defendant is a member of the Salvation Army. He claims his name is J. A. Stamps and that he has been married 23 years and has several children. His wife corroborated his statement.

Ward Gurley is a brother of Clyde Gurley. An inquest was held. Clyde Gurley was the sonof Lafayette Gurley, a respectable farmer living three miles east of town. Clyde Gurley was formerly a sweetheart of Mrs. Naules who was Jennie Daley until her marriage about four months ago.
Clyde Gurley was buried in Mt. Comfort cemetery.
