1, do folemnly, fincerely, and truly fwear, or affirm, to the beft of my knowledge and belief, that the defignated in
the annexed entry, dated and fubfcribed with my name, have not been iniported from any foreign port or place, but are truly and bona fide (if provisions ) falted provifions, cured within the limits of the United States, (or if fish ) pickled fith of the fifheries of the United States ; that they are now actually laden on board the
whereof is mafter, and are to be exported to and are
not intended to be landed within the limits of the United States. So help me God.
INFORMATION GENERALLY.
Sect. 43, The want of certificates of diftilled fpirits, wines or teas, fubject fuch articles to feizure, and fifty dollars fine, if fuch certificates are not delivered to the purchafer ; and if any cafk. cheft, veffel or cafe, containing fuch articles, fhall be found in the poffefsion of any perfon, without being marked, and not being accompanied with a certificate, the fame is liable to feizure.
Sect. 44. On the fale of any cafk, &c. which has been marked, the marks to be defaced in prefence of fome officer of infection or cuftoms, and the certificate of the fame to be delivered up, under penalty of 100 dollars with cofts of fuit ..
Sect. 50. Goods from foreign ports, not to be unladen but between funrife and funfet, without fpecial licence, under a penalty of 400 dol- lars' on the mafter and every other perfon concerned, difability from hold. ing any office under the government of the United States for feven years, and being advertifed in the news papers, with forfeiture of the goods : and if above 400 dollars, value of veffel and apparel.
Sect. 51. Gouds removed before guaged and weighed, and if wines, Ipirits or teas, before being marked, without permif ion, are forfeited.
Sect. 88. Perfons giving or offering a bribe, forfeit from 200 to 2000 dollars. Infpectors and officers of revenue cutters may go on bord, examine and fearch veffels, have free accefs to the cabin, and feal packages ; and after funfet fecure hatches, &c .- Perfans in charge of veffels, for breaking faftenings, but in prefence of an officer, forfeit 200 dollars.

Officers may feize within or without their diftricts-perfons refifting or impeding them, forfeit 400 dollars.
The mafter or commander of any veffel, that fhall obftruct or hinder (or be the caufe thereof) any officer of the revenue, in going on board his fhip or veffel,' for the pulpofe of carrying into effect any of the revenue laws of the United States, forfeits from 50 to 500 dollars.
Regifter Act.
Every owner of a veffel, refiding within the limits of the United States, to fwear to the regifter within ninety days after its being granted, or it becomes void, and the veffel and cargo pays foreign tonnage and. duty.
