WAUPACA. The judicial seat of Waupaca county, is an incorporated city on the line of the Wisconsin Central road and the Waupaca river, 40 miles north west of Oshkosh and 130 from Milwaukee. In- corporated as a village in 1854 and as a city in 1876, it now contains several churches, an accredited high school and other good schools, 2 banks, a court house, flour, wool- en, and planing mills, a foundry, and a brewery.
