A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday October 29 at 1 p.m. at the Kern River Valley cemetery Wof- ford Heights, for Ruby M. Low of Bod- fish. Reverend Donald Roulsten, Pastor of the United Methodist church, Weldon, will officiate.
Mrs. Low passed away at the Hilltop Convalescent hospital Baker- sfield on October 26. Ruby Low is predeeded in death by her husband Lawrence who passed away in 1976. She is survived by her daughters Evelyn Knechtel of Anderson, CA; Virginia Jackson of Tulare and Wan- da Turner of Hanford, sisters Jewell Banks of Ellenburg, Wahington; Virginia Pinheiro of Yakima, Washington and Elna Cunha of Gar- den, one brother Raymond Martin resides in Fresno. Mrs. Kapanoske passed away at Kern Valley Hospital, Mt. Mesa Oc- tober 27.
She is survived by daughters Gay Kapanoske and Carol Valle both of the Los Angeles area; sons Joseph of South Pasadena, David of Tustin, Gerald of Orange; and 15 gran- dchildren.
Born in Michigan August 13, 1914 Virginia Kapanoske was 67 years of age.

G.G. "Duke" Huckelberry
A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday November 12 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kern River Valley cemetery, Wofford Heights for Gerald Gean "Duke" Huckleberry who passed away November 6, the victim of a highway accident on the Kernville Wofford Heights Road.
Mr. Huckelberry was a veteran of the United States Navy who retired after more than 20 years of service. He served as a "Seabee" in WW II, Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by his wife Audrey of Wofford Heights, daughters Sherle Lynn of Oxnard, Judy of Gainesville, Florida, aon Terry of Wofford Heights, atepsons Johnny Lee of Canoga Park, Kenneth and Jeffry of Kernville, atep- daughters Brenda Sue of Lake Elsinore, Kathy of Wofford Heights.
Brother Lloyd "Country" Huckelberry of Wofford Heights and one step-brother Fred of Detroit, one step-aister Donna Is also of Detroit.
There are nine grandchildren and step-grandchildren. Born in Springfield, Illinois July 20, 1928, Duke Huckelberry was 53 yeara of age.

James Wilkins is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. W.B. Wilkins of Kernville. Born February 11, 1948, Jim Wilkins was 33 years of age.

Michael Joseph Shanahan

Mr. Shanahan passed away November 6 at the San Joaquin Com- munity hospital, Bakersfield. He is survived by his wife Sue of Wofford Heights, daughter Patricia of Los Angeles, sons Tim of Wofford Heights and Kevin with the U.S. Army stationed in Korea and one grandson Michael Brian.
Michael Shanahan was a veteran of the U.S.A.F. who served during the Korean conflict. Born in Chicago, Illinois August 3, 1929, Mike Shanhan was 52 years of age.

James R. Langford
Services are scheduled in Los Angeles area for James R. Langford who died at the age of 84.
A former Navy man in World War I, Langford served as Quartermaster, on the U.S.S. Galveston. He was ac- tive in the Seventh Day Adventist Church and served in various charitable and volunteer activities.
Retiring at the age of 62 from a business owner of several garages in the Los Angeles area, Langford moved to Bodfish where he remained until his death. One of the biggest goals he accomplished was to build his own house on a hill in Bodfish.
Langford is survived by his wife, Pearl, four children, James, William, Ronald and Carolyn. He is also sur- vived by 15 grandchildren.
Langford became very well known in his years in the Kern River Valley.
Matthew Joseph Boyle

A memorial service was held Thursday, November 12, 1981 at the Hope
Chapel, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, California for Albert T. Neinast. a resident of Kernville for the last 3 years.
He is survived by his son, Bud of Kernville, daughter and son-in-law
Mary and Roy Hall of Weldon, daughter and son-in-law Dorothy and Bert Watson of Lancaster, Texas; sister Selma O'Quinn of Amarillo, Texas; brother Edwin Neinast of Denison, Texas; and loving gran- dchildren Ken Hall of Weldon, Keith Hall of Ridgcrest, and Kandi Hall of Weldon.
Born in Marlin, Texas, July 18, 1902, Mr. Neinast was 79 years of age. He was a machinist for 25 years before his retirement in 1966.

Leroy Ellis
Leroy Ellis, died at the Wadsworth Medical Center, Los Angeles on November 13, 1981, he was 66 years old.
During World War II, Leroy served in the U.S. Army in the European Theater of Operations, being wounded In Belgium in 1943 during the Battle of the Bulge. He received the Order of the Purple Heart as a result of that In- cident.
On August 18, 1945, he was married to Mabel Virginia Shelton at Los Angeles, California. The following children along with his wife, survive him: Ronne Gene Ellis, Omaha, Nebraska; Harden Lee Ellis, Long Beach, California; and Sharon Jean Ellis, Bakersfield, California. He also leaves one grandaughter, Jean Ann Ellis of Omaha, and three sisters: Myrtle Wolf, Lufkin, Texas; Mattle Tumlinson, Corsicana, Texas; and Jett Wolf, Groesbeck, Texas.
For 32 years Leroy lived with his family in the Ridgecrest area being employed and finally retiring in 1977 from the Naval Weapons Center Engineering Department.
He served on the Calvary Assembly of God Church Board of Deacons during most of his years in Ridgecrest. Upon moving to the Lake Isabella area in February, 1981, he transferred his church membership to the Kern River Valley Assembly of God, where he served the Lord faith- fully until his death.
Leroy was also a charter member of the Indian Wells Valley Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 20, at the Ridgecrest Calvary Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Sam McGill of- ficiating. Graveside services by Rev. Ed Rutherford will be conducted im- mediately following at the Kern River Valley cemetery in Wofford Heights. Valley Mortuary in Lake Isabella is in charge of arrangernents.
Flowers are omitted. Donations in memory of Mr. Ellis should be given to the Kern River Valley Assembly of God or the American Cancer Soclety.

JULIAN PORTRECZ
Julian Portrecz, age 73, passed at 12:10 a.m. November 23, at the Kern River Valley Hospital.
Mr. Potrecz was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 2, 1907. He served in the Regular Army for 30 years and saw service in both World War II and Korea. He retired from the Army in February 1957 as Chief Warrant Of- ficer, grade 4. He was a resident of the Valley since 1963.
Mr. Potrecz was a member of the
Kern River Valley Masons Lodge, the Scottish Rites of Bakersfield, Al Malaikah of Los Angeles, El Bekal of Long Beach and the Kern River Valley Chapter of the Retired Officers Association. He was also a former member of the Kern River Valley Elks Lodge No. 2358.
Mr. Potrecz is survived by his wife, Katherine.
Memorial Services will be held at the Masonic Lodge, Kernville, on Friday, November 27, Internment will be at Rosecrans National Cemetery,
Point Loma, Calis.

Solo Accident Claims One
A Lake Isabella man was killed in a single car accident early Tuesday mortimer, reported California High- way Patrol Oltreer Ver by Pierce.
Frank Seltzer, 25 of Lake Isabella was dead on arrival at Kern Valley Hospital atter he lost control of his 1974 Pinto station wagon on Highway 155 near Nugget Drive just north of Lake Isabella Boulevard.
According in Pierce. Seltzer was southbound on Highway 155. driving towards Lake Isabella Boulevard at a high rate of speed. Seltzer lost control of his vehicle, went onto the dirt shoulder. rolled, then came back into the southbound lane at which time he was ejected

Orry Long was a resident of Lake Isabella since 1976 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bowle, Texas.

Mr. Brown passed away at home on Dec. 9. He is survived by his wife G. Joan Brown of Mt. Mesa. sisters Evelyn Hines and Edith Miller both of Indiana, a brother Arthur Brown is also of Indiana, one grandson Danny Reim of Trona, a grandaughter San- dra Laing of Antheim, "Great- grandaughter Shellie Laing and Great-grandson Christopher Reim.
Mr. Brown was a retired Navy Veteran who enlisted in 1927 and ser- ved during WW II and Korea. He was past patron of the KRV Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Masonic Service Lodge No. 597 of Long Beach and Order of the Eastern Star Emera Chapter. Long Beach.
He was also a member of the Refrigeration Engineers Society. Born In Veedersburg. Indiana Dec. 18. 1909 Dallas I .. Brown was 71 years of age.

GLEN L. BONE
Funeral services were conducted December 17 at the Griffy-Crist Funeral Home in Colorado Springs for Glen L. Bone, 77 who passed away December 15.
Born December 23, 1904 in Rogers, Arkansas, Mr. Bone was a former DeMolay Dad and former Rainbow Dad along with a 32nd Degree Mason and KCCH member of Clearwater Chapter. Mr. Bone was a World War II Veteran and served as Past Master of Southern Colorado Consistory. Mr. Bone was retired from Ford Motor Company.
Bone is survived by his sister Trula Adams of Lake Isabella and one brother Richard Bone of Fowler, Colorado.
Interment was held in the Fowler Cemetery with Masonic escort and services which were conducted by Pueblo Lodge Number 17.

Lucile Calkins Pascoe
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. In the Kern River Valley District Cemetery for Lucile Calkins Pascoe, 80, Wofford Heights, who died Monday in Lake Isabella. The deceased, born in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., had resided in the Kernville area since the age of 16. Her parents, Harold (Bill) and Louisa Calkins operated the old Kernville Inn. On Nov. 11, 1921, she married Earl Pascoe. As newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Pascoe opened Roads End Lodge and Pack Station which they operated many years until retiring to the family homestead ran- ch on the Isabella side of Greenhorn Mountain. While at the Pack Station they served the surrounding area by
using their Station as headquarters for fire fighters, rescue operations, and other community needs. Mrs. Pascoe was also well-known as a spokesperson for the Kernville area in various matters pertalning to com- munity affairs and was appointed by Gov. Carolyn Greene, both of Wofford Heights; son, Raymond Pascoe of Bakersfield: grandchildren, Kassan- dra Wixom, Kristina Ellis, Rachel Meek, Kevin, Sean, Mark Pascoe, Shella Bowen, Teresa and Victor Pascoe; six great-grandchildren, Justin, Rebecca, Hilary Meek, Diana and Brian Pascoe and Pascoe Bowen.

JOHN J. "JACK" GORMAN
Memorial services were held wednesday December 30 at st. Jude's Catholic Church for Jack Gorman, 66, of Lake Isabella. Mr. Gorman, who passed away on December 25 was a native of Buffalo, New York and had resided in the Kern River Valley for the past 13 years. Mr. Gorman was active in the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and Gene Tackett's Advisory Committee. Sur- vivors include his wife, Gertrude, son Joe and daughter-in-law Mary all of Lake Isabella, Also sisters Ceil Shoff of Buffalo, New York, Margaret Both of Lake Isabella and Ann Muhr of Palm Desert.

Mary L. Reiter 81, of Lake Isabella passed away Dec. 27, at the Kern Valley Hospital, Mt. Mesa. She is sur- vived by her step-daughter Mrs. Charles T. Reagan of Lake Isabella, Mrs. Pauline Verges of Twain Harte, California; and Mrs. Thelma Bracken of Avainger, Texas. Mary Reiter has spent 30 years as a supervising long distance operator for Pacific Telephone in Oakland, California. Interment at the Kern River Valley cemetery, Wofford Heights. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary .

OBITUARY
Gerald Click
Funeral service was held Wed- nesday, Jan. 6th at the Valley Mor- tuary Chapel for Gerald Click of Lar- sen Tract Southlake. Mr. Click passed away at Bakersfield Community Hospital, Oildale Jan. 4th. Officlating was Pastor Frances Edge of the Pen- tecostal Church of God, Bodfish.
Mr. Click is survived by his wife Mavis of Southlake, daughter Jackie of Walnut, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Born in Pawpaw, Oklahoma July 10, 1914, Gerald Herman Click was 67 years of age.
Interment at the Kern River Valley Cemetery. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.
