ANNUAL TOWN MEETING
Monday, January 21, 1946, adjourned to March 28, 1946
On a warrant duly issued by the Selectmen under the date of January 8, 1946, and signed by Charles F. Holman, Michael J. Curran, H. William Anderson and Harry B. Butters, Selectmen of Norwood, the proper service of which warrant was duly attested by James E. Quinn, Constable of Norwood.
All the requirements of the statutes and by-laws relating to elections and town meetings having been complied with, the meeting was called to order. The articles contained in the warrant and the action thereunder being as follows:
ARTICLE 1. To choose all necessary Town Officers. The following are to be chosen by ballot, namely, One Selectman for three years; one Town Treasurer and Collector of Taxes for one year; one Finance Commissioner for three years; One Finance Commissioner for two years (to fill vacancy) ; One Finance Commissioner for one year (to fill vacancy); One Moderator for one year; One member of the Board of Health for three years ; Two Trustees of the Morrill Memorial Library for three years; One member of the Town Planning Board for three years; Two members of the School Committee for three years; Six Constables for one year.
One Selectman for Three Years.
Sture Nelson had fifteen hundred and fifty-four (1554) votes.
Clement A. Riley had fifteen hundred and sixty-nine (1569), elected and sworn by the Town Clerk and Accountant.

One Town Treasurer and Collector of Taxes for One Year.

ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Collector of Taxes to use the same means as a Town Treasurer may use when acting as collector.

ARTICLE 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Town Treasurer, with the approval of the Selectmen, to borrow money from time to time in anticipation of the revenue of the financial year beginning January 1, 1946, and to issue a note or notes therefor, payable within one year, and to renew any note or notes as may be given for a period of less than one year in accordance with Section 17, Chapter 44, General Laws.
Voted: To so authorize the Treasurer.
Voted: That Articles 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 be re- ferred to the Finance Commission for consideration and report with recommenda- tions at the Adjourned Session of this meeting.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING January 24, 1946
On a warrant duly issued by the Selectmen and dated January 15, 1946, and signed by Charles F. Holman, Sture Nelson, H. William Anderson, Michael J. Curran and Harry B. Butters, Selectmen of Norwood, the proper service of which warrant was duly attested by James E. Quinn, Constable of Norwood.
All the requirements of the statutes and by-laws relating to Town Meetings having been complied with, the meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Francis C. Foley.
ARTICLE 1. To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to meet overdrafts and unpaid bills incurred prior to December 31, 1945.
Voted: By taxation the sum of $2,214.52.
ARTICLE 2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate a sum of money to meet the expense of constructing a bridge at Morse Street to replace the existing bridge, or take any other action in the matter.
Voted: By taxation the sum of $7,000.00.

ARTICLE 3. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to sell and convey by appropriate deed "Lot A" shown on a plan entitled "Town of Norwood, Mass., Plan of Land in Norwood, Mass., A. W. Thompson, Engineer, December 18, 1945," said parcels being no longer required for public purposes, or take any other action in the matter.
Voted: That the Selectmen be and hereby are authorized to sell and convey by appropriate deed "Lot A" as shown on a plan entitled "Town of Norwood, Mass., Plan of Land in Norwood, Mass., A. W. Thompson, Engineer, dated December 18, 1945." Said parcel being no longer required for public purposes and more par- ticularly described as follows:
Lot A. Beginning at a point in the easterly line of Pleasant Street, said point being at the lot line of land owned now or formerly of Walter Smith and Sons, Inc., and land of Town of Norwood, thence running S 15-41W a distance of 53.05 feet, thence by a curve of a radius of 980.00 feet a distance of 91.79 feet thence running S 10-19W a distance of 51.45 feet, said last three (3) courses by the easterly line of Pleasant Street thence S79-41E a distance of 189.27 feet by land of Salvatore and Marianna Marinella and land of the Town of Norwood, thence N20-25E a distance of 184.72 by land of Norwood Morris Plan Company, thence N75-54W a distance of 213.40 feet by land now or formerly of Walter Smith and Sons, Inc., to the point of beginning. Said lot contains 38,608 square feet.
Voted: That this meeting be dissolved.

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING March 22, 1946
On a warrant issued by the Selectmen under the date of March 13, 1946, and signed by Harry B. Butters, Charles F. Holman, Clement A. Riley and H. William Anderson, Selectmen of Norwood, the proper service of which warrant was duly attested by James E. Quinn, Constable of Norwood.
All the requirements of the statutes and by-laws relating to the calling of the Town Meeting having been complied with, the meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Francis C. Foley. The warrant calling the meeting was read by Town Clerk and Accountant, Walter A. Blasenak. The articles contained in the warrant and action thereunder being as follows:
ARTICLE 1. To see if the Town will vote to designate the board or officers to carry out the provisions of Massachusetts Acts of 1946, Chapter 13, being an act entitled "AN ACT TO PROVIDE HOUSING FOR VETERANS OF WORLD WAR II," or establish a new board or office for said purpose.
