The President and Treasurer of a labor union is required to file annually with the Commissioner of Labor and Industries a detailed statement in writing setting forth all receipts and expenditures of the union which shall be open to the public, and the said Commissioner is given the power to summons witnesses and records; and there is a penalty of not less than $50.00 nor more than $500.00 for whoever fails to file a statement or whoever knowingly makes a false statement, - which was disapproved in the House of Representatives by a vote of 50 in the affirmative and 154 in the negative and YES in the Senate by a vote of 6 in the affirmative and 24 in the NO negative, 1

SPECIAL TOWN MEETING December 2, 1946
On a warrant duly issued by the Selectmen under the date of November 19, 1946, and signed by Harry B. Butters, H. William Anderson, Michael J. Curran, Clement A. Riley and Charles F. Holman, Selectmen of Norwood, the proper service of which warrant was duly attested by the Constable, James E. Quinn.
All the requirements of the statutes and by-laws relating to the calling of Town Meetings having been complied with, the meeting was called to order by the Moderator, Francis C. Foley, at 7:30 o'clock in the afternoon. The warrant calling the meeting was read by Town Clerk and Accountant, Walter A. Blasenak, and the articles contained in the warrant and the action thereunder being as follows:
ARTICLE 1. To see what sum of money the Town will vote to raise and appropriate to meet unpaid bills incurred prior to December 31, 1945, or take any other action in the matter.
Voted: By transfer the sum of $301.82.
ARTICLE 2. To see what sum of money the Town will vote to transfer from available balances in existing appropriations for the current year and make said sums available by the appropriation thereof or to appropriate from any available fund, to meet the further expense of the current year in the following appropriation accounts: Schools, Reconversion; Schools, Indus- trial Education) School Textbooks; Schools, Instruction Supplies; Schools, New Equipment; Schools, Auxiliary Agencies, other Expense.
