Sixth .- To decide upon the amount of money that may be re- quired to defray other town expenses, the ensuing year, and raise the same.


Seventh .- To see what action the town will take in relation to providing better school accommodations in District No. 8: ---


Eighth .- To see if the town will authorize and require the Superintending School Committee to appoint a Superinten- dent of Public Schools with such salary as the town may de- termine.


Ninth .- To take any action deemed expedient in relation to Engines and Engine men.


Tenth .- To see if the town will authorize the building of one or more reservoirs; and pay one half the expenses, providing the remainder shall be raised and paid by private subscription ; the location and construction thereof, to be approved by the Engineers.


Eleventh .- To see what action the Town will take in relation to paying Silas Alden, James L. Curtis and others, the same town bounty as other volunteers received, and who were

reckoned on the same quota, (on petition of Joseph E. Whit- comb and others.)


Twelfth .- To take action on the List of Jurors, revised and prepared by the Selectmen, and posted according to law.


Thirteenth .- To see if the town will vote to discontinue the town way leading from Main St., across the track of the Old Colony and Newport Rail Road corporation, by the box factory of Ephraim Belcher, to Pleasant St.


Fourteenth .--- To see if the town will authorize the Treasurer (with the approval of the Selectmen,) to borrow money in anticipation of taxes.


Fifteenth .- To see if the town will make any discount on the payment of taxes the current year, and see if it will accept the Act, Chap. 146, of the General Statutes of 1862, as to in- terest on taxes unpaid, also to fix the rate.


Sixteenth .-- To see if the town will authorize the Collector of Taxes to use all means of collecting the same which a Town Treasurer, when appointed collector, may use.


Seventeenth .- To see if the town will adopt Sec. 72, 73, 74, 75 of Chap. 49, in relation to weighers of hay.


Eighteenth .- To see if the town will accept as a town way; the alteration made on Union and School Streets by the' Selectmen. -


Nineteenth .- To hear reports, choose committees, and act upon ""any other business that may legally come before said meeting;


And you are directed to serve this warrant by posting attested 'copies thereof, at three principal places of public religious worship, in said town, nine days, at east, before the time of holding said meeting, and by publishing the same in the East Norfolk Register. Hereof fail not, and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, on or before said day and time.
