TOWN MEETING WARRANT.
COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS, } NORFOLK, SS.
To either of the constables of the Town of Randolph in said County, GREETING :
In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the town of Randolph, qualified to vote ir. town affairs to assemble at Stetson Hall, in said town, on Monday, the sixth day of April next, at 7 o'clock in the forenoon. then and there to act on the following articles, namely :
ARTICLE 1. To choose a Moderator to preside at said Meeting.
ART. 2. To choose all such town officers as are required by law to be chosen by ballot ; also, on same ballot, to vote " yes" or " no " in answer to the question, Shall license for the sale of intoxicating liquors be granted in this town ?
ART. 3. To choose all such town officers as are not required by law to be chosen by ballot.
ART. 4. To hear the report of the several town officers, and act thereon.
ART. 5. To raise such sums of money as may be deemed necessary for the support of schools, and appropriate the same.
ART. 6. To raise money for the repairs of highways, and determine the manner of expending the same.

ART. 9. To see what action the town will take to com- plete the alterations ordered by the County Commissioners on Liberty and North Streets, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 10. To see what action the town will take to com- plete the alterations of Lafayette Street as laid out by the Selectmen, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 11. To see if the town will build a sidewalk on the northerly side of West Street, as petitioned for by John J. Brown and others, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 12. To see if the town will make an appropriation for the decoration of soldiers graves under the direction of Capt. Horace Niles, Post No. 110, G. A. R.
ART. 13. To see what sum of money the town will raise and appropriate for the payment of interest on the Randolph Water Loan.
ART. 14. To see what sum of money the town will raise and contribute to the sinking fund, as required by law to meet the payment of the Randolph Water Loan when due.
ART. 15. To see what sum of money the town will raise and appropriate for water for hydrants, street service, public buildings, and drinking fountains.
ART. 16. To see what action the town will take in relation to making an appropriation for the Turner Free Library as recommended by the trustees.
ART. 17. To see what action the town will take in relation to heating and ventilating school buildings, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 18. To see what action the town will take in relation to repairs on Stetson Hall building, and raise and appro- priate money therefor.
ART. 19. To see what action the town will take in relation to repairs on Matthew Clark building, and raise and appro- priate money therefor.
ART. 20. To see what action the town will take in relation

to paying a bounty of one hundred dollars each to Charles Tileston, James Halpin, and Michael Lynch, who served during the late war as a part of the quota of Randolph, and raise and appropriate money for the same.
ART. 21. To see what action the town will take in relation to building a new school-house in School District No. 3, as petitioned for by Wellington Lewis and others, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 22. To see what action the town will take in relation to maintaining guide posts, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 23. To see if the town will raise and appropriate five hundred dollars for special improvements, when the Business and Improvement Society expend an equal amount.
ART. 24. To see what compensation the town will allow for the collection of taxes.
ART. 25. To see what action the town will take in rela- tion to medical attendance on the poor for the ensuing year, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 16. To see what action the town will take in relation to the care of and keeping in repair the clocks in the towers of the First Congregationalist and First Baptist Churches, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 27. To see what action the town will take in relation to the pay of laborers employed by the town.
ART. 28. To see if the town will permit the use of land adjoining St. Mary's Cemetery, North Street, for the purpose of burial.
ART. 29. To see if the town will permit the use of water in the cemeteries without charge.
ART. 30. To see if the town will accept the list of jurors. as prepared by the selectmen, and posted according to law.
ART. 31. To see if the town will authorize the treasurer, with the approval of the selectmen. to borrow money in an- ticipation of taxes.
ART. 32. To see if the town will authorize and appoint the selectmen to be the agents and attorneys for the town, to prosecute, defend, compromise, and settle any and all suits and proceedings in which the town may be in any way in- terested, as a party or otherwise, for the ensuing year, except so far as the same relates in any manner to the water supply.
ART. 33. To see if the town will authorize and appoint

the Water Commissioners to be the agents and attorneys for the town, to prosecute, defend, compromise, and settle any and all suits and proceedings in which the town may be in any way interested, as a party or otherwise, so far as the same in any manner relates to the taking of the waters of the Great Pond or in the construction of the waterworks, either jointly or separately, as authorized under Chapter 217, of the Acts of 1885, and to employ counsel if necessary.
ART. 34. To see if the town will accept the provisions of Chapter 431, of the Acts of 1888, relating to the employment of a superintendent of schools, and raise and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 35. To see if the town will authorize the Collector of Taxes to use the same means which a Town Treasurer may use when acting as a collector.
ART. 36. To see if the town will authorize the Collector of Taxes to charge interest at the rate of six per centum per annum on all taxes unpaid on and after October tenth, A. D. 1891.
ART. 37. To see what action the town will take in regard to changing the time when the fiscal year shall close ; also in relation to changing the time for holding the annual town meeting.
ART. 38. To see if the town will instruct the selectmen to appoint special officers to enforce the laws, and appropriate money therefor.
ART. 39. To hear and act on the report of any commit- tee, and choose any committee the town may think proper.
The polls will be opened at seven o'clock, and will remain open for four hours, and such longer time as the voters may determine.
And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting attested copies at five or more public places in said town, seven days at least before the time of holding said meeting.
Hereof fail not, but make due return of this Warrant with your doings thereon to the town clerk, on or before the time and hour of said meeting.
