TOWN CLERK'S REPORT


To the Citizens of the Town of Douglas:


Following is the Annual Town Clerk's Report:


VOTES PASSED BY THE TOWN SINCE THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING


Special Town Meeting, Tuesday, November 17, 1964 at 7:30 P.M.


ARTICLE 1. The Town voted to transfer the sum of fifteen hundred ($1,500.00) dollars, from Overlay Surplus to the Forest Fire Account.


ARTICLE 2. The Town voted to transfer the sum of four hun- dred ($400.00) dollars, from Overlay Surplus to the Water Depart- ment General Account.


ARTICLE 3. The Town voted to transfer the sum of one thou- sand ($1,000.00) dollars from Overlay Surplus to the Health Depart- ment Account.


ARTICLE 4. The Town voted to transfer the sum of twenty- five hundred ($2,500.00) dollars, from Overlay Surplus to the Aid to Dependent Children Account.


ARTICLE 5. The Town voted to approve the amount of debt (to wit: one hundred thousand ($100,000.00) dollars) authorized by the Blackstone Valley Vocational Regional School District Commit- tee at a meeting held on October 22, 1964, for the purpose of acquir- ing land and constructing and equipping a vocational high school building. Mr. L. Wayne Gilley, Committee member, said the town's share would be $3,819.00, at the present time.


Special Town Meeting, Tuesday, December 29, 1964 at 7:30 P.M.


ARTICLE 1. The Town voted to transfer the sum of eight thousand eight hundred and sixty-five ($8,865.00) dollars from the Machinery Rentals Fund to the Machinery Account.


ARTICLE 2. The Town voted to appropriate the sum of eight hundred and twenty ($820.00) dollars from Surplus Funds in the hands of the Treasurer for the Machinery Account.


ARTICLE 3. The Town voted to transfer the sum of three hun- dred and forty-three dollars and eighty-seven cents ($343.87) from

ARTICLE 5. The Town voted to appropriate the sum of four hundred and fourteen dollars and twenty-four cents ($414.24) from Surplus Funds in the hands of the Treasurer for the Bridges Account.


ARTICLE 6. The Town voted to appropriate the sum of two thousand ($2,000.00) dollars from Surplus Funds in the hands of the Treasurer for Snow Roads.
