TOWN WARRANT
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING, JUNE 13, 1938 COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS
WORCESTER, SS. Milford, June 13, 1938.
To either Constable of the Town of Milford, in said County, Greeting :
In the name of the Commonwealth aforesaid, you are hereby required to notify and warn the inhabitants of the Town of Milford, qualified by law to vote in Town Affairs, to meet in the Town Hall, in said Town, on Monday, the thirteenth day of June, A.D. 1938, at eight o'clock in the evening, then and there to act upon the following articles, namely :
Article 1. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate the sum of Thirty-five thousand one hundred and sixty- six dollars and thirty-eight cents ($35,166.38) from available funds accruing to the Town on acount of the adjustment of the fire loss at the Town Infirmary, to the Board of Public Welfare for the purpose of meeting the cost of the reconstruction and refurnishing of said In- firmary and for the payment of the charges incurred in connection with the adjustment of the fire loss thereon, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 2. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) for General Aid under the supervision of the Board of Public Welfare, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 3. To see if the Town will appropriate from the appropriation for Clerk Hire in the Town Clerk's Office, an unexpended balance of Six hundred and two

dollars and fifty cents ($602.50) for the purpose of meet- ing the cost of a new safe or fireproof cabinet for use by the Town Clerk, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 4. To see if the Town will vote to authorize the Selectmen to accept such offer as the United States of America may make to aid the Town in financing the im- provement and reclamation of the Cedar Swamp Pond area in accordance with plans contained in a report of the Cedar Swamp Pond Development Commission ac- cepted by the Town at an adjourned Special Town Meet- ing held June 25, 1937, and to authorize the Board of Selectmen to carry out said project and contract with respect thereto, or take any action in relation to the same.
Article 5. To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate the sum of One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) to meet the cost of improving and reclaim- ing the Cedar Swamp Pond area in accordance with plans contained in a report of the Cedar Swamp Pond Develop- ment Commission accepted by the Town at an adjourned Special Town Meeting held June 25, 1937, and to author- ize the Town Treasurer with the approval of the Select- men, to borrow a sum not in excess of fifty-five per cent thereof, the same to be spent in conjunction with forty- five per cent thereof received from the Federal Govern- ment on account of this project, or take any action in relation thereto.
Article 6. To see if the Town wil vote to raise and appropriate the sum of Five hundred thirty-three dollars ($533.00) for the purpose of meeting the cost of a new safe for the Town Treasurer, or take any action in rela- tion thereto.
Article 7. To see if the Town will vote to repeal the by-law prescribing regulations described as "Plumbing Rules adopted for Milford, Mass.," which were adopted under Article 6 of the Special Town Meeting held May 22, 1911, or take any action in relation thereto.
