The Selection submitted a sport relative to Spring Street atension as follows, That no damages had been awarded the Boston and Albany railroad Company as nego- ciations were pending for an achange of lane with the Company. it being the purpose of the Selection in laying out the Spring Ste tension to have the Easterly end of Fay It, discontinued and to save the expense of maintaining the bridge which is no long needed, Since the layout the following offer has been received from Samuel Hoa General Counsel of said Railroad Company. If the Fray Street Bridge is taken down by the Town and the street discontinued so far as it extends across land of the Railroad Company before May 1.1899, the Railroad Company will give to the Town. for the extension of Spring Street, as wan square feet of land as the area of land of the Railroad Company now occupied by Hay Street location,

*EXTRACT FROM ARTICLE VIII .- Sect. 2 .- The proprietor or proprietors of any Jot or lots in either of the cemeteries or burying grounds of the town may grant or bequeath to the town, or may deposit with the treasurer of the town, any sum of money, not exceeding five hundred dollars, for the purpose of provi- ding for the care, keeping and preservation of the fences, trees, shrubbery, monuments, tombs, and other appendages of the lot or lots which may be designa- ted in such grant, bequest or deposit; and said treasurer, in the name of the town, shall give a proper agreement to said proprietors that the income of said money, as hereinafter stated, shall be appropriated for that purpose.
