Report of The Planning Board
The Planning Board, after advertisement in the Saugus Herald issue of Jan. 31, 1936, held a public hearing on article forty-five (45) of the Town Meeting Warrant in their office on Feb. 10, 1936. After hearing all facts, the board does not recommend the passage of said article.

Voted : that the laying out of a town way substantially in the location of a private way known as Summit Avenue from Ocean View Ave. to Sapphire Road as made and reported by the Selectmen be accepted.
Voted: to take Article 30 from the table.
ARTICLE 30.
Voted : that the sum of $5,500.00 be and the same is hereby appropriated for the purchase for cemetery purposes of two certain parcels of land, with the buildings thereon, situated on the northerly side on Winter Street and shown as Lots No. A-30 and A-24 on Plan No. 1013 on file in the Assessors' Office containing 25,550 square feet and 14,190 square feet of land, more or less, respectively, and sometimes known as the Monteith property and that the Board of Selectmen be and they are hereby authorized to make such purchase on be- half of the town. ARTICLE 31.
Voted : To permit the Town of Saugus, through its Ceme- tery Commissioners, to use for burial purposes after title to the same shall be acquired by the town, the land situated on the northerly side of Winter Street and shown as Lots No. A-30 and A-24 on Plan 1013 on file in the Assessors' Office containing 25,550 square feet and 14,190 square feet of land, more or less, respectively. 9:40 P. Voted: That the Treasurer, with the approval of the Se- lectmen, be and he hereby is authorized to borrow for general maintenance expenses of the Town the sum of $100,000.00,

but in no event a sum in excess of the amount of tax titles taken or held by the town at the time the loan is approved by the Emergency Finance Board, and to issue a note or notes of the town therefor, all in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 49 of the Acts of 1933 as amended. The said sum is hereby appropriated for the use of the Assessors in fixing the tax rate to meet the general expenses of the town. Yeas 110. Nays 0. 9:42 P. M.
