THE FORTIETH ANNUAL REPORT

OF THE

TRUSTEES OF TAFT PUBLIC LIBRARY·

The Trustees report another successful year in the history of the Library.

We wish to thank all who contributed in any way to its wel- fare.

It is with regret that we must report the resignation of Mrs. Lena W. George as Librarian. Her long and valuable services have been greatly appreciated by all patrons of the Library and the Trustees are equally grateful for her earnest efforts to keep the Library up to its present standard.

We are also fortunate in securing the services of Miss Beatrice Taft as Librarian. With her experience and the help that can be rendered her by our townspeople we can feel assured of another prosperous year in Library work.

We are glad to report the opening of our new Library build- ing early this year. One only has to visit it to appreciate its value.

Respectfully submitted,

CARL M. TAFT, EDWIN L. WILSON, FREEMAN C. LOWELL,

Trustees of Taft Public Library.
