Adjourned Meeting
FEEDING HILLS HALL. DECEMBER 6, 1910.
Meeting called to order by the Town Clerk, in the absence of the Moderator. James H. Clark was chosen Temporary Moderator.
Acting under Article 4 of meeting of October 25, 1910, Henry E. Bodurtha reported for the Water Commissioners in regard to a conference with the Water Commissioners of Springfield as to the probability of purchase of water from the City of Spring- field. The substance of the report was that there was no present possibility of obtaining water from Springfield.
Voted that a Committee of three be appointed to investigate the feasibility of one or more artesian wells as a source of water supply for the Town of Agawam. Said Committee is directed to procure plans and estimates for wells as aforesaid, the location thereof, with cost of land, the erection of a suitable standpipe at a sufficient elevation, for a steam engine and boiler with all necessary machinery for a pumping station, and to do any and all things necessary to obtain full knowledge of a water supply from such a source. Said Committee is authorized to employ a competent engineer and may expend a sum not to exceed three hundred dollars therefor, to be taken from the five hundred dollars appropriated for plans and survey for water supply. Said Committee shall make a written report in detail to the annual Town Meeting.
Voted that James F. Barry, James H. Clark, and Albert K. Fuller be the Committee.
Voted that this meeting be dissolved.
JUDSON W. HASTINGS,
