Voted: That the sum of two thousand eight hundred and fifty (2,850) dollars be and hereby is appropriated for the purpose of grading, loaming, seeding and the laying of a black top walk and other general improvements on the Waldo Road Playground located in East Arlington; said sum to be raised by general tax and expended under the di- rection of the Board of Park Commissioners.

Article 52 taken up. (Investigation and Study Re Po- sitions, Wages and Salaries Town Departments.)
On motion, duly made and seconded, it was
Voted: That the Board of Selectmen be and hereby is authorized to have made an investigation and study for the purpose of classification of positions and the standardiza- tion of wages and salaries of all Town departments, such investigation to be made by a properly qualified, recognized organization; said Selectmen to submit the result of said investigation and study together with such recommenda- tions deemed advisable at a Town Meeting not later than the Annual Meeting of 1943; and that the sum of seven hun- dred fifty (750) dollars be and hereby is appropriated for such purpose; said sum to be raised by general tax and ex- pended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen.
There being no further business under Article 52 the Moderator declared it disposed of.

By virtue of this Warrant I have notified and warned the legal voters of the Town of Arlington to meet at the time and places and for the purpose herein specified by causing a printed attested copy of said Warrant to be left at every dwelling house in the Town previous to the day of the meeting for the nomination of candidates of political parties and by posting an attested copy of said Warrant at the doors of the Town Hall and in two or more con- spicuous places in each of the fourteen precincts of the Town, seven days at least before the day of said meeting. A notice of the time, places and object of the meeting was published in the local papers.
