Two hundred and seventy seven new services have been added during the year and two were abandoned. There are for all purposes 4,108 on the low, 6,208 on the high, and 3 on the old reservoir system. On the Metropolitan water supply there are 75 services for municipal purposes, 34 sprinkler services, and 44 for sewer flushing purposes included in the above. On January 1, 1954, 249 services were tem- porarily out of use.
