Details of regular water main construction will be found in Table VIII.

Two hundred and fifty six new services have been added during the year and five abandoned. There are for all purposes, 4268 on the low, 7327 on the high and 5 on the old Reservoir system. On the Metropolitan water supply there are eighty-seven services for municipal purposes, 42 sprinkler services, and 50 for sewer flush- ing purposes included in the above. On January 1, 1959, two hun- dred and twenty-six services were temporarily out of use.
