next, it being the Tuesday next after the first Monday in said month, at 7 A. M. to act on the following articles, viz:


Article 1. To bring in their votes for Presidential Electors: a Senator in Con- gress; a Governor; a Lieutenant Governor; a Secretary; an Attorney General; a Treasurer and Receiver-General; an Auditor; a Representative in Congress for the fifth Congressional District; a Councillor for the sixth Councillor District; a Senator for the sixth Senatorial District, Middlesex County ; in Precincts 1, 3 and 5, two Rep- resentatives in General Court for the Twenty-fifth Representative District, Middlesex County; in Precincts 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14, two Representatives in General Court for the Twenty-eighth Representative District, Middlesex County; a District Attorney for the Northern District; a Register of Probate and Insolvency for Middlesex County; two County Commissioners for Middlesex County ; a County Treas- urer for Middlesex County.


To vote "Yes" or "No" upon the following question:


QUESTION NO. 1


A. Shall licenses be granted in this town for the sale therein of all YES alcoholic beverages (whiskey, rum, gin, malt beverages, wines and all NO


other alcoholic beverages)?


B. Shall licenses be granted in this town for the sale therein of wines YES and malt beverages (wines and beer, ale and all other malt beverages)? NO


C. Shall licenses be granted in this town for the sale therein of all YES alcoholic beverages in packages, so-called not to be drunk on the premises ? NO


All the above to be voted for on one ballot. The polls will be open from 7 A. M. until 8 P. M. and you will notify and warn the voters of the Town of Arlington to meet at the times and places herein specified by leaving at every dwelling house in the Town a printed copy of this warrant and also by posting a copy of the same at the doors of the Town Hall and in a conspicuous place in each of the fourteen precincts of the Town seven days, at least, prior to the time of said meeting.


Hereof, fail not, and make due return of this warrant, with your doings thereon, to the Selectmen, on or before said day and hour of meeting.

ARLINGTON TOWN REPORT


CONSTABLE'S RETURN


Arlington, Mass., November 4, 1960


Middlesex County:


By virtue of this Warrant I have notified and warned the legal voters of the Town of Arlington to meet at the times and places and for the purposes herein-named by causing a printed attested copy of the same to be left at every dwelling house in the Town, and by posting an attested copy at the doors of the Town Hall seven days at least before said day of meeting and by posting attested copies in two or more conspicuous places in each voting precinct in the Town. A notice of the time, places and objects of the meeting was published in the local papers.

In pursuance of the foregoing Warrant, the inhabitants of the Town of Arlington qualified to vote in elections met in the polling places designated by the Board of Selectmen for the several precincts in said Town on Tuesday, November 8, 1960, at 7 o'clock in the forenoon.


Within one hour after the closing of the polls, the Town Clerk completed delivery of nine hundred two (902) envelopes received by her purporting to contain absent voting ballots, together with the applications therefor, to the election officers in the several voting precincts. The number of such ballots received, cast and/or rejected in each precinct was as follows:
