At a legal meeting of the Inhabitants of the town of Borford qualified as by the Constitution required to vote in Elections, holden at the Vestry in the second Parish on Tuesday the fourth day of November in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy three, for the purpose of giving in their votes for a Governor Lieutenant Governor, Secretary, Treasurerand


Receiver General, Anditor of Accounts and Attorney General of this Commonwealth; a Councilor for the Fifth District; a Register of Probate and In - solvency; a Senator for the Third Essex District, and a Representative to the next General Court for District No Five: Also for a County Treasurer one County Commissioner; and a Register of Needs for the Southern District of Essex.

He the Selectmen of the town of Boxford at the request of S. W. Howe and others having complied with the requirements of the law in relation to notifyingthe owners of the land on which we were petitioned to widen a town way have videned the same as follows, 1st Beginning at the corner westerly of the house of Daniel S. Gillis at a stake by the wall one rod south of the Guide Post: thence south 1º east ten rods and six links to a stake; thence south 130 west five rods and nineteen links to a stake, which stake is fine rods from the wall on the easterly side of the road; thence south 150 west seven rocks to a stake by the wall where said course forms a junction with the westerly line of the present road; the east- erly line of the road to remain as before. The whole of this widening being on land of Mra. MelissaP. Batchelder. 2nd Beginning at a stake on the northerly side of Fish Brown six links easterly of the stone work of the Bridge which crosses said Brook below Howie's Mills; thence north 11º east five rods and eight links to a stake; thence worth 470 east fourteen rods

and fifteen links to a stake by the wall on the easterly side of the present road: the westerly line of the road to remain as before: The whole of this widening being on land of Mrs. Hannah Perley.


And we have assessed and awarded damages to. the owners of the land thus taken as follows. To Mrs Melissa P. Batchelder Thirty five Dollars " Mrs Hannah Perley Twelve Dollars.


And we hereby allow the said owners seven months in which to remove the fence and trees from the land thus taken. And we hereby respectfully report our actions in this case to the tour for its acceptance.

If the town will relinquish the present Pound site and materials, to the said tarleton he agrees to give a satisfactory men- site and build a new found as good as the front of the present one was when built provided the tour will furnish the posts. (The foregoing proposition was verbally report ed to the town from Mr. Carleton, by C. R. Ander- son and Um R. Kimball)

At a legal meeting of the inhabitants of the town of Boxford qualified as by the constitution required to vote in elections, holden in the Vestry in the second Parish on Tuesday the second day of November in the year one thousand eight hundred and seventy five, for the purpose of giving in their votes for a Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary Treasurer, Anditor of accounts and Attorney General of this Commonwealth-a Council- lor for the Fifth Mass. District-A Senator for the Third Essex District and a Representative to the next General Court for District No. Five, also for one bounty Commissioner. Allon one ballot
