This present shall be accepted from James A Elliott unless the Selectmen decide to locate the Building and Vault on someother ground.

To the Town Clerk of Boxford Mr F. A. Howe This may certify that puiswant to a Warrant calling the inhabitants of Boxford in Precinct two (2) qual- ified to vote as the law directs assembled at the time and place and for the purpose thereon expressed. At ten O clock and fifteen minutes (10-15) the warrant calling the meeting was read by the warden who then publicly opened the ballot boy and the same having been personaly examined by the election officers and the public was found to be entity. The ballot Boy was immediately locked the register indicating 000; and the key of the box was taken and retained by Charles R Anderson the Constable in attendance. The Warden then called on the inhabitants of said precinct qualified in can to vote to give in their ballots for the purpose Expressed in said warrant. The ballot boy reman. i'd locked while the polls were open. At two @ clock and twenty minutes (2, -20 ( clock) the polls were closed, The ballot box was found to register sixty one (61).

The pay for the men whom they employ to work on the roads, and for the teams and implements to be used thereon, shall be paid for at the same rate as was paid last year, as follows,


For a man fifteen cents an hour while in actual service, and for a joke of oven twenty cents an hour, and for a Plow a Cart, an Qx Shovel five cents an hour for each one, And while Pathing Snow a man shall be allowed twenty cents an hour. and for a yoke of open twenty cents an hour and for a pair of Horses thirty cents an hour


And it is further moved that in repairing the Highways there shall be allowed for a

Single Horse twenty cents an hour, and for a pair of Horses thirty cents an hour shall be allowed. That all other bills shall be allowed by the Selectmen, except their own bills for services rendered to the town these bills must be brought before the town to be allowed. And it is further moved that the Road Commissioners shall at the close or end of each months work hand in to the Selectmen a detailed account of all the work done on the roads during the month, how many men were employed, the amount paid to each man, also the amount of money paid for repairs on Road Machine, and all other matters needed in a detailed account. And the Road Commissioners shall not expend more money than the town has appro- priated for them, until they consult the Selectmen and get their permission to do so
