OMISSION
Page 20 - Between Rix and Kilham division read :- "Next to Joshua Wallis one eighth 4 poles and five foot wide on highway and five poles wide on creek."
This volume of WENHAM TOWN RECORDS, 1707-1731, is a part of the so-called "Swamp Book", and follows chronologically, Vol. I, 1643-1707.
Apparently some early town official desiring to bring together all acts relating to land, extracted from the records of Town meetings previous to 1707, some ninety pages of the town's transactions, and included them in the "Swamp Book."
These pages will later be printed as a supplement to Vol. I, WENHAM TOWN RECORDS.
The index includes the proper names only of Wenham inhabitants and land holders.
For the sake of clarity, needless repetition of signatures of town officials is avoided.
