At a meeting of the Selectmen then reconed with Deacon William Fisk for his goeing Representative to Boston and upon all accounts from the beginning of the world to this present day of the date hereof and there is due to said Fisk the sum of six pounds sixteen shillings £6 16s 0d and have given an order to the treasuer to pay it on the day above said

At a meeting of the Selectmen, William Rogers is agreed with to keep the school in our town and to keep the meeting house and ring the bell untill the first of March next coming and in consideration thereof he is to have the sum of two pounds and ten shillings for his pains. Sept. 24th 1711 - At a meeting of the Selectmen a prov- ince tax was committed Constable Samuel Kimball bearing date the 27th day of Augt. 1711 amounting to the sum of £78.10$.4ª. whereof he is to pay to the province treasuer the sum of seventy seven pounds 4 pence £77 0s 4d which he hath his warrant for and the 30 shillings over plus is to be for allowance for his gathering rates this year 1711
And allso a province rate committed to Constable Joseph Dodge bearing date the 27th of Augt. 1711 amounting to the sum of £62 3$ 8d whereof he is to pay to the province treasurer the sum of sixty pounds 19 shillings and 8 pence and the 24 shillings over plus is for allowance for his gath- ering rate the year 1711 and to be accounted with them in making up their accounts at the years end.
The treasuers due is £138 0s 0d.

November 5th 1711 - At a legal town meeting of the inhabitants Ensign Samuel Kimball Chosen Moderator for the present meeting.
Voted - that there shall be a town rate made ammount- ing to the sum of eighty and five pounds to pay the towns debts and engagements and to pay the county rate and ministers salary.
Upon the complaint of Samuel Fisk, Senr made to the town that he said Fisk is damnified for not having reason- able satisfaction made him for the ways goeing over his land by the town has voted to leave it to the Selectmen or three indiferent men the said Fisk has chosen Capt Jona- than Putman Deacon Benjamin Putman of Salem and John Gilbert of Ipswich to end the difference in case the Select- men can't agree with him, the town voted their concurance. Allso voted that the Selectmen are empowered to do and agree about that the matter may require in the towns be- half| in the said case of said Fisk.
At a meeting of the Selectmen of Wenham November 12th 1711 then agreed with Samuel Fisk Senr to allow him for satisfaction for a highway that was laid out over his land in October the 31st 1704 the just sum of nine pounds together with what said Fisk has received in land allready be the land more or less it is to be allowed at four pounds ten shillings per acre the rest to be paid him in money or land, the said Fisk having the liberty to remove the above said highway so that it be more convenient for the inhab- itants of the town, So as to make the way more straight if he please.
At the meeting above said of the Selectmen, they lay'd out a highway over the land of Samuel Fisk Senr one pole wide and thirty two poles in length. or there abouts for John Porter Junr and his successors to pass from time to time and at all times as ocasion shall serve to come to the highway that is allready laid out that leadeth into town, the said way begins at said Porters land where there is a pair of bars near said Porters land leading into said Fisks land and so along to the highway that leadeth into the town and is staked one pole wide by the edge of the hill and so along eastwardly of several old stumps and one pole eastwardly of a white oak tree standing in William Fairfields land by the edge of the highway that leadeth into town and have agreed to allow said Samuel Fisk for satisfaction for said ways the sum of forty shillings as

November 22nd 1711- A Town rate was made in two distinct lists Viz- To Constable Samuel Kemball a list amounting to the sum of £48.07s.1ª to be paid into the town treasurer and 7 cords and two foot of wood to be paid into Mr. Joseph Gerrish according to the towns engagements and allso a list is committed to Constable Joseph Dodge ammounting to the sum of £37.17s.5d whereof said Dodge is to pay into Mr. John Appleton our county treasuer the sum of five pounds three shillings and four pence by Jan. first next and to our town treasuer the sum of £32.14s.1ª at or before the last day of January next ensueing the date hereof and twelve cord and six feet of wood to be paid into Mr. Joseph Gerrish at or before the last day of March next coming. Each Constable having a warrant annexed to each of their lists divedsteth to each Constable as the law directs respectively to collect and pay in the sum and sums. Viz. into the County treasurer his sum above mentioned and to the town treasurer the respective sum above mentioned at or before the last day of January insueing the date hereoff to be for the towns use.
There is six shillings added to Constable Samuel Kem- balls list since the warrant was granted.

Voted - that Mr. Daniel Dodge is to have the pew or parcel of land that lays between longham and William Dodges land and said Daniel Dodge have for the term of one year next coming which is in consideration of said Daniel Dodge paying to the town the sum of twenty shil- lings money |at or before the first day of March next com- ing after the date hereof|
December 5th 1710, proposals between Daniel Dodge, Goodman Waldron and the Selectmen about the bridge that said Waldron shall make, that the abutment of the bridge next his own land so far into the channel of the river as to meet with the other abutment, within thirty foot, - - and to do all the wood work of the bridge to the other abutment and to do it so as to answer the law for the neighborhood to pass and to allow a high- way from the river to the open highway to be a highway of three poles wide open to the river and to let the town have a way for David Maxey a highway to come to the new road and to have all that any persons will give him towards said bridge and to close up and to have the old way not before disposed of betwixt his own lands from thence to the old bridge and up between said David Maxey

and his own land and the timber of the old bridge and rocks of his own side, and that all is to be performed by the latter end of next September and in confirmation of all above written we have to our hands the day above said

Voted that the town shall choose a committee to divide the land of Freeborn Balch and the circumstances conserv- ing a highway to said Balches land in our town and make a report to the town at their next meeting.
Upon the request of Nathaniel Waldron being chosen Constable, the town voted another Constable shall be chosen in his room, Richard Kimball chosen Constable in Nathaniel Waldrons room, for the year ensueing holding for the east end of our town.

May 5th 1712 At a legall town meeting Capt. Thomas Fisk Chosen Moderator For the meeting. Deacon William Fisk Chosen Representative so declared by the moderator and ordered to be entred by the Selectmen (a second trial for a vote was made) The Selectmen accounting him not legally chosen there being several false votes and declare to the town they cant fill up the precept he not legally being chosen, Whereupon another meeting is warned and ordered to be held on the 7th Instant May to choose repre- sentative and do other business.
May 7th 1712 At a town meeting duely warned of the inhabitants of the town of Wenham to make choice of a representative to send to Boston to the Great and General Court and to do any other town business.
Voted to choose Moderator by written ballot Sergt John Gott chosen Moderator for this meeting by writing accord- ing to town vote to choose by writing. Lieut John Porter chosen Representative to represent our town at the great and Generall Court at Boston.
Allso Voted to rent out all the common land that is be- tween the new bridge that is over the river that runneth out of the great pond to Longham bridge by Mr. Daniel Dodges house. and all the land that layeth between William Dodges land and the land that is allready laid out to par- ticular persons and all that parcel of land that Mr. Daniel Dodge hiered of the town the last year past. Allways reserving the highways for liberty of passing as occasion shall serve for said town
Voted that Ensign Samuel Kimball Sergt John Gott and Coperall Joseph Herrick are to be a committee appointed to lease out the above mentioned parcel of common land to some person who shall appear to hire it untill the first day of March next coming after the date hereof and order the rent to be paid to the town treasurer for the towns use. whatsoever sums it may be leased for that every one may have his right share and proportion to whom it's due
Allso Voted that the above named committee Ensign Samuel Kimball Sargt John Gott & Corp" Joseph Herrick are empowered to lay out the acres that are not yet layed out to whom of right it is due, and have not had their parts as by grant of said town, and allso laid out an acre to Mrs. Ruth White widow as it is granted by said town.
Allso Voted that David Maxeys shall have all that slip of land that layeth between Nathaniel Waldrons land and

Josiah Dodges land bought of the town and Joshua Wallis's land leaving an open highway three poles wide, next to Josiah Dodge's land to be an open highway for the use of said town and leave good and sufficient room for said Wallis to come to the highway at the northerly end of said Wallis's land as the town shall see meet to have left, for convenience for him and those that shall succeed him in that living.
November 5th 1712 At a town meeting duely warned of the inhabitants of Wenham Ensign Samuel Kimball chosen Moderator, voted to raise seventy two pounds to pay the towns engagments and defray the towns charges ariseing in the same It being put to the vote of the town to know their minds wether the town treasurer shall sue Mr. Thomas Patch for rent of land that said Patch hath entered upon rent with said town and it was voted on the affirmative|
November 25th 1712- At a meeting of the Selectmen, It was ordered that Mrs. Emery be warned out of town She being at the house of Walter Fairfield and that she depart with her goods and leave said town and that she depart within fourteen days after notice given her, and a warrant is granted to Richard Kemball Constable bearing date the 25th as above.
And the person being not warned out of town a warrant was given to Constable John Friend in the month above said.|
At a meeting of the Selectmen April 3rd 1712. For the Wenham line, Mr. Daniel Andrews John Maul John Chap- man, Josiah Batchelder them or the major part of them are appointed to meet with such persons as Wenham shall appoint at the house of Mr. Daniel Andrews at nine of the clock in the forenoon to perambulate and renew bounds between said towns on thursday 17th April 1712. Salem April 3rd 1812.

7th day of April 1712 to perambulate and renew bounds between said towns of Salem and Wenham have renewed the bounds as followeth, begining at a white oak tree marked with T. S. & W. with a heap of stones about it which tree stands near the northerly end of Wenham Caus- way and from thence to a heap of stones at the easterly end of said Causway aforesaid and so to a black oak marked S. W. being Daniel Andrews corner bounds and so to a white oak tree marked being formally called the southerly corner of John Leaches farm which we renewed by laying stones about it and renewing the old marks as we allso did in the bounds aforesaid and from there to another white oak marked S. W. standing near the head of the line between Wenham and Beverly and have renewed all of the afore- mentioned bounds by throwing stones in witness whereof we have interchangably set to our hands the day and year above written

Wests bounds to a white oak stump with a heap of stones about it marked W. & B. all with a marking Iron having reference to the last perambulation between the two towns as appeareth on record and have mutually agreed to all bounds therin mentioned in said record as witness our hands.

We whose names are underwritten being a committee appointed by the Commoners in Wenham to divide and set out any one his share and proportion in any disagreeing eighth in our divisions of common land which is allready laid out and upon the request of Mr. Daniel Dodge in the right of William Knowlton by purchase and in the right of Samuel Fisk Junr and upon the request of Mr. Samuel Herrick of Beverly in the right of Benjamin Fisk and Jonathan Moulton in the sixth division of common land by purchase at the east end of Wenham
We have divided as followeth beginin next the fifth division the first lot is next the Creek line, it is five poles and four foot wide from a red oak the corner bounds of the sixth and fifth division unto a stake and heap of stones and upon the highway it is five poles wide 9 foot from a black oak stump between the fifth and sixth divisions to a stake and heap of stones by the Highway (The first lot is to Henry Haggitt)
The second lot upon the highway is six poles wide from the first lot to a stake and heap of stones and next to Man- chester line is five poles and four foot wide from the second lot to a stake and heap of stones.
The third lot next Manchester line five poles four foot wide from the second lot to a stake and heap of stones. and upon the highway six poles wide from the second lot and heap of stones. (The 2 & third lot to Mr. Daniel Dodge above mentioned)

The fourth lot upon the highway is six poles wide from the bounds of the third lot to a stake and heap of stones the end next Manchester line is five poles and six foot wide from the third lot to a stake and heap of stones.
The 5th lot next Manchester line is five poles three foot wide from the bounds of the 4th lot to a little white oak. and upon the highway it is six poles wide from the bounds of the fourth lot to a stake and heap of stones (The 5th lot is to Daniel Fisk in the right of his father)
The 6th lot upon the highway is five poles and 1/2 wide from the fifth lot to a maple stump in the brook and next Manchester line it is five poles and 1/2 pole wide from the white oak the bounds of the fifth lot to a Red oak tree.
The seventh lot next the Manchester bounds is five poles and one half pole wide from the bounds of the sixth lot to a little white oak stub with stones about it and upon the highway it is five poles and one half pole wide from said maple stump to a little pine marked.
The eighth lot upon the highway is five poles and one half pole wide to an old stump the bounds of the sixth and seventh divisions and next Manchester line it is five poles and about one half pole wide from the bounds of the seventh lot to a double Maple the bounds of the sixth and seventh divisions the lots are to run to Manchester line. (the 6th Lot is to John Dodges heirs)

Know all men by these presents that Nathaniel Waldron and David Maxsell both of Wenham in the County of Esex in the province of Massachusetts bay in New England have made an exchange of some land Viz: the said Waldron is to have and to hold to him and his heirs that parcel of land that is granted by the town to said Maxsell laying between said Waldrons and a highway by Josiah Dodges land and in consideration the said Maxsell is to have and to hold to him and his heirs a certain parcel of land laying between Joshua Wallis's land and said Maxsells now within said Maxsells fence and in confirmation of what is above written the said Nathaniel Waldron and David Maxsell have set to

This may Certify whom it may concern that I John Per- kins of Wenham, in the County of Essex yeoman, have given and absolutely bequeathed the acre of Swamp land that of right belongs to me from said town by a vote passed on January the first 1692 as in folio 4th unto my son in law William Rogers to have and to hold to him and his heirs forever and by the towns laying said Acre to said Rogers, I do hereby aquit the said town concerning the same as wit- ness my hand on this 3rd day of December 1712|
