became a Quaker while at Haverford. Some of his issue remained Quaker. After moving

to Denver in 1896 he became active in the Quaker Church there. He taught English in North Denver High School, became Supervisor of Manuel Training, Denver, and organized the first Athletic Association and Field Sports in Denver. His boys won seven state relay races in succession. In May 1903 he was presented with a silver cup as a token of appreciation which now is in the Museum of North Denver High School.


Late in 1897, Milton filed on a tract of 80 acres in Estes Park just east of where the Stanley Hotel was built. He bought 120 acres joining this tract on the south. These 200 acres were sold to George Storer of Toledo, Ohio in Sept. 1919. On Oct. 14, 1907 he bought 160 acres near Mary's Lake, Estes Park which became his residence in 1920 until he moved to Los Angeles shortly before his death. This tract was sold to Carl Lindenschmidt of St. Louis.

The Will implies that sons, Edward, Henry, and George, died before 1812. David, Jacob, Peter, and the two daughters were still living. All had issue.

The Berks Co. C. H. shows a Will made by John Klauser, Robison Twp. on Dec. 22, 1836, probated in 1837. It mentions wife Catharine; sons, Daniel, John, Benjamin, Samuel; daughters, Lydia w. of Henry Moyer, and Sarah.
