Located just east of the Scott/Russell County Line.

This cemetery is very overgrown and unfenced, area around it is well mowed; like an island in the middle of a calm sea.

REBECCA HARTSOCK died about 1902, wife of N.B. HARTSOCK, age about 56 yrs

MEADE - Looks like the base of a monument; the monument stone looks like it's laying next to the base, with another headstone laying across it.

Several unmarked stones.

(DOROTHY BOSTIC owns the land. She also owns the land where two BOSTIC cemeteries are on. )

ELAM CEMETERY - Moll Creek #7 (cont)

Article in the Scott Co. Va Star dated Nov 18, 1992, pg 4 gives the following; "On Oct 14 1992, over 100 years after their deaths, A. LEE ELAM, 5 times great grandson and major contributor of Castlewood, and EDWIN E. NICKELS, 2 times great grandson of Blountville, Tn did what their loved ones were unable to do in their day, namely, erect a permanent monument over their last resting place, that their names may be kept alive for generations yet to be born.

According to C. BYERLEY, who lives nearby, the land has been turned into use for farming. [LEONA MARTIN]

NAME UNKNOWN CEMETERY - Moll Creek #8 (Russell Co. Va)

Visited Oct 15 1992 By LEONA & BILL MARTIN

This one could have been easily missed. We were able to find only 2-3 unmarked field stones. C. BYERLEY told us where this one was. It's unfenced and is in the border of a woods and a field. If he hadn't told us it was there, we would never have found it.

SALYER/CASTLE CEMETERY - Moll Creek #9 (Russell Co. Va)

By LEONA & BILL MARTIN

Visited Oct 15 1992

It is on private property on Route 611. JOHN DAVIS, who lives there, says there are about 30 people who are buried there, and that it was grown up for at least 40 years. ,He said that VENCAL HAWKINS' father was buried there, and that he helped build the old house that is near the cemetery. We would never have found the cemetery if he hadn't taken us there and uncovered some of the stones. Only two were marked.
