One upright stone in the middle north side against the fence says, "STAIR AND STEWART CEMETERY". All the stones seemed to be alike, a pillow or flat stones. Letter dated May 24 1987

Located on Route 666 (Red Hill Road) at the first driveway to the right, on a hill above and south east of the home of CLAUDE MCCLELLAN, is a large cemetery. It was neglected and grown up. So it was hired out, to have it cleaned off. In the operation, they removed everything. Now it is clean, but not a marker, even to old field rocks. Only sunken places indicate any one was buried there.

QUILLEN CEMETERY - S. Gate City #40 (Update of Vol 1 Pgs 115-118)

By DONALD WAYNE LANE

Letter dated Nov 17 1991

Located across from the Antioch Church.

"EZEKIEL POPE QUILLIN and MARTHA MARTIN QUILLIN are not shown on your list for the QUILLEN CEMETERY #/40 because their graves were marked only with field stones. Many of our family members could positively identify the locations though, and they are now marked. If you use a layout map, they are buried in the next graves down the hill from my grandparents and aunt. The order going up the hill is MARTHA MARTIN QUILLIN, EZEKIEL POPE QUILLIN, MARY QUILLIN LANE (1st wife) , MALDON LANE, MATTIE (VENIE) QUILLIN LANE (2nd wife), and STELLA LANE (daughter) . We think two QUILLIN infants are buried below them, but not positive."

"One of MARTHA and ROBERT QUILLIN's daughters was CLARA E. QUILLIN (b. 1896) who married ROBERT R. GREER, listed on your QUILLEN CEMETERY #40 records. I am not sure where CLARA is buried. A daughter was MARTHA JUNE GREER, who is listed as JUNE GREER, wife of ROBERT GREER."
