John Earl Williams
John Earl Williams, 91, of Lan- caster died May 15, 1983. Williams was a former resident of Kernville living here from 1968-1973. Williams was a plasterer for 20 years with Pearcy and Casy in construction retiring at age 72.
Williams served in the Army in WWI and during his lifetime he worked as a mechanic, chauffeur, machinist, carpenter and plasterer. Williams came to California in 1922 from N.H. and to Antelope Valley in 1950 from San Fernando Valley.
Williams was born November 11, 1891 in Littleton, New Hampshire and is pre-deceased by his wife Lilian in December 1959.
Williams is survived by two sons, Carl Edmands of N.H., Paul Williams of Lancaster; three daughters, Anona Eisenhaur of Ac- ton, Bobby Ann Hallmark of Santa Rosa, Barbara Marshall of Forest- ville, 15 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.
Services were held May 18 in Ac- ton. Arrangements by Murphy Mor- tuary.

A funeral service was held Friday, May 27 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel, Lake Isabella for Carl V. Powell of Bodfish. Officiating was Pastor James O. Hux of the First Baptist Church of Mettler, CA., Mr. Powell passed away May 24, in Bakersfield.
He is survived by his wife Norma of Bodfish; sons Carl Richard "Dick" Powell of San Jose, David Lee Powell of Fountain Valley, John M. Powell of Long Beach; daughter Harriet Sciglibagio of Seattle; brother Loyd of Joplin, Missouri; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Powell was a veteran of the U. S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the Elks, the 55 Plus Club and the Mt. View Southern Baptist Church of Lake Isabella.
Born March 11, 1911 in Missouri, Carl V. Powell was 72 years of age. Interment at Pacific Crest

Virginia Beardsley
Virginia LeGaye Beardsley, 74 died in Bakersfield Memorial Hospital May 25, 1983. Beardsley was born April 23, 1909 in Riverside County, California and was a teacher in Los Angeles schools for 20 years. She had resided in the Kern River Valley for the past 1112 years, and was a former employee of the Kern Valley SUN.
Beardsley is survived by her four children, James, George, Marilyn and Patricia. Also one sister, Maria Young, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
No services were held, her ashes will be scattered on the river.

A funeral service was held graveside at the Kern River Valley Cemetery Friday July 8 for Jack Wayne Ingle of Squirrel Valley. Of- ficlating was Pastor Jim McGhee of the Kernville United Methodist Church. Mr. Ingle passed away July 5 at the Kern Valley Hospital.
He Is survived by his wife Joyce of Squirrel Valley, mother Bernice Ingle of Ridgecrest, son Jack Lee Ingle of Riverside, son Phillip W. Fred Hubert Pipkin, 80 of Weldon died July 3, 1983. Pipkin was born February 26, 1903 in Kaufman, Texas and was a Chief Water Tender in the U.S. Navy for 30 years and was also employed by the U. S. Navy Civil Service for 161/2 years and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Isabella for 542 years. Pipkin has lived in the valley for 24 years and was a member of Moose Lodge No. 498.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Blanche Pipkin of Weldon, two daughters, Beverly Jane Robinson of Anaheim and Judith Ann Het- black of Bakersfield, also five gran- dchildren and three great- grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers, Leonard Pipkin of Sun- nymead, Ralph E. Pipkin of Sun- nymead and Roy Pipkin of Oregon and sisters Fern Dew and Ruth Gaston both of Texas.
Services were held July 7 at Forest Lawn in Cypress with burial in Sunnyside Memorial Park, Veterans section, Long Beach.
Ralph Eugene Pipkin
Ralph Eugene Pipkin, 77 of Sun- nymead died July 8, 1983. Ralph is a former resident of the Kern River Valley where he lived for seven years. He was an active duty master Sargeant of the U. S. Army Airforce for 31 years. He and his brother, Fred who preceded him in death July 3, 1983 married sisters Jane and Kathryn Marchand. He and Kathryn resided in the Kern River Valley for 7 years before moving to Sun- nymead 12 years ago.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Sunnymead and brothers Leonard of Sunnymead and Roy of Oregon.
Services were held July 16, 1983 in Sunnymead with burial in Riverside National Cemetery.
Hugh Chamberlin
Hugh Louls Chamberlin, Jr. of Stockton, California passed away at Santa Cruz, California on Thursday, July 7, 1983. He was 52 years of age. A Rosary Service and Mass of Christian Burlal were held In Stockton on July 11 and July 12. Graveside Service was held at Kern River Valley Cemetary on Thur- sday, July 14 with Monsignor Doher- ty officiating.
Mr. Chamberlin was born February 4, 1929 in Park City, Utah and was retired from the San Joaquin County Sheriff'a Depar. tment after 27 years of service. He was also a Veteran of the Korean War having served in the United States Navy. He is survived by his wife Harriet Milligan Chamberlin, (born in Old Isabella ) his son Hugh Chamberlin III, daughters Patty Ferrell, Terrie Enos, and Charlotte Adams all of Stockton; three sisters, Peggy Taylor of Indianapolis, In- diana, Jerri Weir of Henderson, Nevada, and Connie Graeber of Sebastapol, Califorma; and 5 Gran- dchildren.

OBITUARY
Gilda Headrick
A funeral service was held Wed. nesday June 20 at the First Christian Church, Bell Gardens, California for Gilda Headrick formerly of Webb St., Lake Isabella. Officiating was Rev. Dave Snow, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Lake Isabella. Mrs. Headrick passed away July 17 in Norco.
She is preceeded in death by her husband Harry H. Headrick, deceased July 19, 1982. Gilda Headrick is survived by her daughters Helen Olinger of Norco, Joanne Ogelsby also of Norco, Dorothy Secker of La Habra, Mary Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona; seven- teen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Born May 1, 1908 in Ethel, Missouri, Gilda Headrick was 75 years of age. In- terment at the Rose Hills Memorial Park, Whittier, California.
