He is preceeded in death by his wife March Ryan deceased March 11, 1981 and is survived by his step- daughters Jerre O'Sullivan of Lake Isabella, Jacqueline Thomason of Villa Park and sixteen grandchildren. Charles Price Pearson
Services were held Tuesday, November 29, for Charles Price Pearson, 79, who died on November 23 in a Bakersfield Hospital.
Rev. Wayne Pearson, the deceased's brother, and Rev. Alton Thomas of the Kern Valley Southern Baptist Church officiated at the 11 a.m. service at Hillcrest Mortuary Chapel.
Pearson pioneered the cable TV system in the Kern Valley and owned the operation until his retirement in 1972. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Wofford Heights.
Survivora include wife, Erma, Kernville; sons Charles P. Pearson, Jr., Wofford Heights; daughters Joyce Hubbs, Long Beach and Betty Dayton, Santa Clara.
Brothers, Clyde, L.B. and Don of Oklahoma, and Wayne of Diamond Bar; sisters Lillian Bishop of Oklahoma and Jewel McElroy of Diamond Bar.
Also surviving are 13
grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Osborne passed away on Nov. 22 mi Bakersfield, the victim of a tragic auto accident.
She is survived by her husband, John W. Osborne of Lake Isabella; Mother Lavida Zeun of Lake Isabella; Father Theron Lister of Los Angeles; Brother Lee Smith of Phoenix: halfbrothers Scott, John and Marty Lister, all of Denver.
Holen Osborne was employed for the past five years by Greyhound bus lines in Bakersfield. Born Oct. 1939 in Greenville, South Carolina, Osborne was 44. Interment at the Kern River Valley Cemetery.

Memorial services for Leonard I. Curtis, who died December 13, 1963, were conducted Thursday, December 15 at the First Baptist Church, Lake Isabella. Pastor David Snow officiated.

Curtis was born in Boonsville, Tex., May 26, 1904 and married Ela Sue Woods at Pampa, Tex., in 1935. Besides his wife, who resides in Boarish, Curtis is survived by his son, Bob, of Burlingame; daughter
Lynda G. Kalzer of San Diego; three grandchildren and a brother, Eskar, of Silverton, Tex.
Curtis moved to Bakersfield in 1946 where he was a member of Carpenter Local No. 743 and was employed by the maintenance department at Bakersfield College.
Since moving to Bodfish in 1978, Curtis bad been an active member of First Baptist Church in Lake Isabella, National and Lake Isabella Charters of the American Association for Retired Persons and the 55 Plus Club.

Arnold A. Ford
A memorial services was beld Saturday Dec. 17 at the residence of Jerry Ford Newbury Park for his father Arnold Aldron Ford wbo passed away Dec. 15 after long illness. Arnold Ford was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Isabella and was retired from Lockheed Aircraft Company after more than 40 years of service. He enjoyed working with tools, was an outstanding gardener, and an avid flaherman.
Born Jan. 20, 1915 in Terral, Tazas, Arnold Aldron Ford was 68 years of age. Private cremation arrangements with donations to the First Baptist Church of Lake Isabella in memory of Arnold A. Ford have been requested by the family.
Thomas Carl Pistoni
Services were held December 16, 1983, for Thomas Carl Pistoni, 65, who died December 12 of natural causes.
Pistoni was born in Providence, Rhode Island on Nov. 29, 1928. He was a resident of South Lake from December of 1979 until July of 1982 when he owned and operated El Rancho-No-Got. Recently, he had lived in Santa Monica.
He is survived by his parents, Guido and Margaret (Maggie) Pistoni of Providence, Rhode Island; stepchildren Jacquelyn McCoy, Harold Gardina both of Los Angeles and John Gardins of Omnard; daughter Tami Pistoni of Los Angeles; brothers Raymond and Robert, both of Providence.
Rose Hills Memorial Park Chapel in Santa Monica was in charge of arrangements.
William C. Raukin
William C. Raukin died Dec. 14, 1983. He was 75 years old.
Raukin was born in Chichashay, Okla., June 12, 1908. He worked as a maintenance worker for Kern County for many years and also served as caretaker for Prince Ranch near Lake Isabella.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Eagles Lodge.
He is survived by his son, Paul, of Lake Isabella.
Graveside services were held at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Holy Cross Lawn on December 19, officiated by Rev. Bud Fry.

BRAD THOMPSON
The 26 year-old-son of Kernville residents, Ken and Joyce Thompson died over the Christmas holiday weekend at his home in Otis Orchards, Washington, according to Spokane County officials. Brad Thompson, was a graduate of Kern Valley High School, Class of 1975. His parents are part owners of Lake Isabella Drug Store.
According to Lt. Norm Nickerson of the Spokane County Sheriff's Department, Thompson was pronounced dead on arrival at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane, Friday, December 23. St. Nickerson reported that Sheriff's deputies were called to Thompson's home to investigate a gunshot accident. "At this time, the incident is still under investigation," Lt. Nickerson said. Otis Orchards is a small community outside Spokane; between the Idaho and Washington state borders.
Funersl services will be held Today, December 29 at 2p.m. at the Peace Lutheran Church in Otis Orchards. A complete obituary will follow in next week's issue of the Kern Valley SUN.

Funeral services were held Thursday, December 29 at Peace Lutheran Church in Otis Orchards, Washington for Brad Thompson who died December 23 of a gunshot wound. Pastor Daniel Comsia officiated the services.
Brad Thompson was a 1975 graduate of Kern Valley High School, and a graduate of Boise State University in 1979. He was employed as a welder and reamer in Otis Orchards.

Mr. Noble passed away Jan. 7 in Lake Isabella. He is survived by his wife Virginia of Lake Isabella, son Ricky Dale Noble of Frazier Park, daughter and son in law Sheryl and Milton Yamorski of Acton, brother Bert Noble of Ackley, Iowa and two grand-children.
Mr. Noble was a WW II Veteran of the U.S. Army who served in the Pacific and had been a resident of the Kern River eight years.
Born May 8, 1923 in Iowa Kenneth Elisha Noble was 60 years of age. Interment at the Eternal Valley Memorial Park, Newhall. Arrangements by Valley Mortuary.

BUTCH MINKLER
A memorial service was held Wednesday Jan. 18 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel Lake Isabella for Verie E. "Butch" Minkler of Bodfish. Officiating was Pastor David Snow of the first Baptist Church, Lake Isabella. Mr. Minkler passed away in Bakersfield on Jan. 14. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Agnes of Bodfish, brothers Lee of Salmon, Idaho, Lyle, Harold and Don Minkler all of Southgate, and one sister Evelyn Iverson of San Jose. Butch Minkler was a sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII who served as an artilleryman in Europe. He has lived in the Kern River Valley for more than 15 years and was a charter member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 54 here in the valley. Born Sept. 11, 1909 in Tilden, Nebraska, Verie Eldon "Butch" Minkler was 74 years of age. Cremation arrangements by Valley Mortuary.
WILLIAM B. SHAW
William B. Shaw of Wofford Heights passed away Jan. 15 at the Kern Valley Hospital Mt. Mesa. Mr. Shaw is preceeded in death by his wife Viva Jewell Shaw deceased July 26, 1980. Burial will be Jan. 18 at the Eastlawn Southgate Cemetery in Elk Grove, Sacramento County, California.

BERT P. ALBIN
A funeral service was held Tuesday Jan. 17 at the Valley Mortuary Chapel Lake Isabella for Bert. P. Albin of Wofford Heights. Officiating was Reverend Dave Snow, Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lake Isabella. Mr. Albin passed away the evening of Jan. 13 at Mercy Hospital Bakersfield. He is survived by his wife Jimmie A. Albin of Wofford Heights. Mother Florence Albin of Stephenville, Texas; daughter Billie Jean Hathorn of Downey; brothers George B. Albin of Wofford Heights, Farris Albin of Marble Falls, Texas; grandchildren Jimmy Pattison of Norwalk, Jan Hendrickson of Kernville, John and Suzanne Pattison of Downey; great grandchildren Mike and Mark Hendrickson of Kernville. Bert Albin was well known in the Kern River Valley as operator of the Flume Garage in Bodfish. He had been a body and fender repairman for more than 50 years. His C.B. handle was "Fender Bender". Bert and Jimmie Albin have resided in the Kern River Valley for the past 19 years and Bert was a member of the Sideband Club. Born Sept 16, 1907 in Texas Bert Pacher Albin was 76 years of age.
