OVAL# CHURN
The Best, Cheapest, Simplest and Most Durable,
And PERFECTLY FINISHED CHURN
IN THE MARKET.
Among the advantages to be derived from using this CHURN may be mentioned the following:
OVAL CHURN
PAT. AUG. 28.1877
GOSHEN IND.
.
1st .- It is without gearing, and there- fore noiseless in operation. 2d .- It churns easier and quicker than any other. 3d .- It is lighter, more convenient and easier to clean. 4th .- The irons being galvanized cannot rust, and owing to their peculiar construction, LEAKAGE, which is the most objectional feature to most churns, is posi- tively and entirely obviated. 5th .- It will make butter of a quality equal in every re- spect to that made by ;the old fashioned dash or any other churn. 6th. - Every churn is filled and finished in the best pos- sible manner, the finest quality of COACH VARNISH only being used. 7th .- The price of our "OVAL" is lower than any other strictly first-class churn.
The demand for this favorite churn has far exceeded our expectations, and sales are rapidly increasing yearly, conclui- sively demonstrating that our claims of superiority are well founded and acknow- ledged by the users. The OVAL has proved its superiority over any other churn manufactured in America, regard- less of cost of manufacture, or prices at which they are sold.
Produces MORE BUTTER of Unsur- passed Quality from same Quantity of Cream in LESS TIME than any other Churn.
Manufactured in Five Sizes.

CLINE'S PATENT COMBINED
Clothes W ringer & Bench
The Simplest,
Easiest to operate,
-AND OF -
Greater Capacity !
For all Description of Work than any Manufactured.
This Wringer
Is regulated by a Pressure Bar, conveniently located. which is easily and in- CHICAGO-ENG-CG stantly adjusted by one motion of the foot, avoiding the slow process of tightening or lossening one or more thumb-screws, as in the old style. The Spring being very long, enables the user to run pieces through varying greatly in thickness with the utmost ease, without incurring the liability to breakage, incident to doing the same work where the old style of cross-bars are used. The side Uprights are independent of each other, adjusting themselves so per- fectly to the work passing through them, that from an inch to an inch and a half in thickness can be run through one end and the finest fabric through the other at the same time, wringing both equally. In fact, washing including the greatest variety of articles can be finished in the most satisfactory manner without changing the pressure-bar, and with one-fourth the labor required on old styles. For prices and terms, address

HARTFORD CITY, IND.
This thriving little city was first settled in 1839, and is now the county seat of Blackford county, located at the crossing of the Ft. W., C. & L., and P., C. & St. L. R'ys, 47 miles south of Ft. Wayne, and 72 miles north-east of Indianapolis. The surrounding country is fertile, and is being rapidly brought under a thorough state of cultivation. The town is not encumbered by any debt, and contains 2000 inhabitants, three churches, Methodist, Presbyterian and Lutheran, a good graded school. The VanCleve block is the finest in the city, and the opera house will seat 700, furnished with good scenic effects and plenty of stage room, three hotels, one bank, -the Citizens, two weekly newspapers, the News and Telegram, are supported.
Its manufacturing interests are yet in their infancy, among the most extensive are two saw mills, hub and spoke factory, planing mill, and the Hartford City Steam Flouring Mill of C. R. Cooley & Son, is the oldest mill in the county, hav- ing been first put into operation in 1858, burnt out October, 1869, and rebuilt the following May, and has been steadily running ever since, the motive power is furnished by a 125 horse power engine of the celebrated Commer make, and is the finest in the county. Excavations have been made for the foundation of a large business block on the south east corner of the public square, and will be erected this coming season, the rooms, three in all, will be occupied by the Citizens Bank, Hughes & Smith and C. R. Cooley & Son. Turner & Gray, tonsorial artists, will fit up a commodious apartment in the basement, with all the modern conveniences.
Grain, live stock, lumber, staves and spokes are the prin- cipal exports. American and United States Express. W. U. Telegraph Co. John M. Ruckman, Postmaster.
