This town was formerly known as Antioch, but the name was changed about three years ago, when the Wabash, St. Louis & Pacific Ry Co., made this point the terminus of one division, and erected extensive repair shops and round houses at an expense of $300,000. It is in Dallis township, Huntington county, 6 miles southwest of Huntington, the county seat and banking town; 30 miles southwest of Fort Wayne. Before the location of the railroad shops and ex- tensive improvements made by the great Wabash Ry, it was a small village of a few hundred inhabitants, to-day it is a live progressive incorporated town of 2,500 inhabitants, and with the contemplated improvements to be made by the railroad company this coming year, it will double its population in a few years.

The principal manufacturing interest is the large Inmber, stave and shingle factory owned by Messrs. J. S. Morris & Co., who have been identified with the interest of the town for the past ten years. They employ 25 hands.

The Andrews Flouring Mill is worthy of special mention, as the oldest mill in this part of the county and the excel- lent quality of flour made. Capacity 50 barrels per day.

A number of excellent dwellings, two large brick school buildings, average attendance of 500 scholars daily, and excellent business houses have been erected during the past
