CONNECTICUT HEAVY ARTILLERY.
FIRST REGIMENT.

(This regiment was organized at Litchfield, Connecticut, from July 25, 1862, to September 9, 1862, for three years, as the 19th regiment of infantry. Changed to heavy ar- tillery, and designated the 2d regi- ment, November 23, 1863. Two additional companies were raised from January 11, 1864, to February 13, 1864. The original members were mustered out from July 7, 1865, to July 20, 1865, and the re- maining men cousolidated into a battalion of eight companies, which was inustered out August 18, 1865, in accordance with orders from the War Department.)

SIXTH REGIMENT.
¿This regiment was organized at New Haven, Conn., September 12, 1861, to serve three years. On the ex- piration of its term of service the original members (except veterans) were mustered out, and the organi- zation, composed of veterans and recruits, retained in service until August 21, 1865, when it was mus- tered out, in accordance with or- ders from the War Department.)
