REPORT OF DENTAL HYGIENIST


My dear Mr. Esten :


I hereby submit my annual report as Dental Hygienist in the Rockland schools for 1937.


At the beginning of the school year the annual dental examinations of school children in grades 1 to 6 inclusive were held with the assistance of the local dentists. The following results were obtained:

Number in need of permanent extractions 68


During the year 974 oral prophylaxis were performed and 42 children treated for toothache.


The results of the pre-school examinations held in the spring of 1937 were as follows:

Through the sum of money donated by the Rockland Teachers Association, seven children benefited by emer- gency extractions.
