You are directed to serve this warrant by posting up at- tested copies in six (6) conspicuous places within the Town at least seven (7) days before holding said meeting.

The meeting called to order at 7:30 P. M. by Moderator R. S. Normandin.


The Moderator named monitors. After three counts and at 8 o'clock with the quorum reached the Moderator asked the Town Clerk to read the warrant and the officer's return thereon.


VOTED: to waiver the reading of the warrant and the of- ficer's return thereon.


Article 1. The following motion presented and seconded: Voted in the affirmative for $100.00 from the Excess and Defi- ciency Account.


The following substitute motion presented and seconded:


VOTED: to accept the report of the Board of Selectmen as to the new layout and relocation of a section of a public way known as Charlton Street at and/or about the junction of said Street with the Quinebaug River; all as per Plan dated August 21, 1956, showing land necessary for bridge and wall reconstruc- tion now on file in the office of the Town Clerk, and voted to authorize the Selectmen to take by eminent domain under Chapter 79 and other provisions of the General Laws of the

Commonwealth, easements in such parcels of land as may be necessary to effectuate the Plan and any amendments or changes to be made to said Plan (designating less land) on file in the Town Clerk's office, and voted, that $100.00 be taken from the Excess and Deficiency Account to pay for damages and expenses that may be incurred due to the taking of easements in the parcels of land hereinafter described as parcels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, C-1, C-2, C-3.
