Article 79. To see if the Town will transfer the sum of Eight Thousand Dollars ($8,000.00) from the Mount Pleasant Cemetery Sale of Lots and Graves Fund to the Cemetery Commissioners for the improvement of the Town Cemeteries.

Article 80. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the im- provement of the playground immediately in the rear of the Junior High School West; determine how the money is to be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 81. To see if the Town will vote to appoint a committee of five comprised of the Chief of Police, the Inspector of Wires, the Town Engineer and two registered voters of the Town experienced in electrical communi- cations to investigate, consider and make recommendations relative to the replacement of the Police Operation Desk in the Police Station, said com- mittee to report not later than the 1964 Annual Town Meeting; make an appropriation for the use of said committee; determine in what manner the money shall be raised; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 82. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the pur- chase of new fire alarm signalling equipment at Fire Headquarters and for the relocation of the Watchroom and Mutual Aid Signals from the first floor to the second floor of said building; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 83. To see if the Town will make an appropriation for the development and improvement of the Robbins Farm Playground including the construction of three tennis courts and installation of a storm drain; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 84. To see if the Town will acquire by purchase, eminent do- main or otherwise a parcel or parcels of land or any portion thereof between Park Avenue and Davis Road, in the rear of the business blocks on Massa- chusetts Avenue, for the purpose of establishing an off-street parking area; make an appropriation for the purpose aforesaid and determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 85. To see if the Town will make an appropriation to excavate, grade, pave, paint stalls and provide lighting and parking meters and to do any and all other acts necessary to provide a public off-street parking area in the rear of the business property presently on Massachusetts Avenue, be- tween Park Avenue and Davis Road; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 86. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum or sums of money to be expended under the direction of the High School Additions and Reconstruction Committee appointed under Article 86 of the Warrant for the Annual Town Meeting of 1956 for the purpose of erecting an addition, or additions, to the present High School and to provide for other alterations and improvements to and remodeling, modernization, and reconstruction of

said High School including the cost of furnishings, equipment and lighting for said additions and other facilities for both the present building and the pro- posed addition; determine in what manner the money shall be raised; or take any action relating to any or all of the foregoing.

Article 87. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum or sums of money to be expended under the direction of the Town Manager, said appropriation to be added to amount appropriated under Article 98 of the Warrant for the 1962 Annual Town Meeting, for the purpose of installation of new boilers, incinerators and automatic temperature control system at the Locke School; determine in what manner the money shall be raised; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 88. To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum or sums of money to be expended under the direction of the Town Manager for the purpose of converting three (3) coal-firing steam boilers at the Junior High School West to oil-burning boilers and to remodel the heat units and control systems and other related work; determine in what manner the money shall be raised or take any action relating thereto.

To see if the Town will make an appropriation to be expended under the direction of the Town Clerk, for the purpose of defraying the ex- pense of advertising and other incidental costs relatingto the By-Laws voted at this Town Meeting; determine in what manner the money shall be raised; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 90. To see if the Town will vote to make an appropriation for the purpose of providing ornamental and additional light to the streets in the business area of the Town during the Christmas holiday season; deter- mine in what manner the funds shall be raised and expended; or take any action relating thereto.

Article 91. To see if the Town will make an appropriation of a sum of money to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen for the purpose of providing suitable headquarters for the Lt. Stanley G. Benner Detachment, Marine Corps League of Arlington; determine in what manner the money shall be raised and expended or take any action relating thereto.

Article 92. To see if the Town will make an appropriation to be added to the Stabilization Fund created under Article 73 of the Warrant for the 1958 Annual Town Meeting in accordance with the provisions of Massachu- setts General Laws (Ter. Ed.), Chapter 40, Section 5B, as amended; deter- mine in what manner the money shall be raised; or take any action relating thereto.


Article 93. To see if the Town will authorize taking a sum of money voted for the appropriation heretofore made at this Town Meeting under this Warrant, and not voted to be borrowed, fromany available funds in the trea- sury and will authorize the Assessors to use free cash in the treasury in any available funds to an amount not exceeding $550,000.00, in the deter- mination of the 1963 tax rate.
