SCHOOLHOUSE FENCES.
We found that many of the schoolhouse fences would have to be rebuilt the coming year, many of the old boards on the fences could be used again, but the posts were badly decayed and would have to be replaced by new ones. An opportunity occurred whereby we could purchase chestnut posts and have them well seasoned before using. We believed it was economy for the town to do so, and have incurred the following expense.
Paid E. G. and O. R. Spalding, for 300 Chest- nut posts . $48 00
