EXPENSE OF MARKERS OF GRAVES OF SOLDIERS OF THE REVOLUTION AND WAR OF 1812.
Under a vote of the town at the annual meeting the sum of fifty dollars ($50) was appropriated for the Selectmen to procure markers for the graves of soldiers of the revolution. Upon making a search through the several cemeteries we found numerous graves of soldiers of the war of 1812. As we had an appropriation more than enough to cover the expense of marking the graves of the soldiers of the Revolution, we deemed it no more than right that the graves of these soldiers should be recognized by an appropriate marker.
The following amount has been expended : M. D. Jones & Co., 42 markers for graves of soldiers of the Revolution .... $42 00 M. D. Jones & Co., 9 markers for graves of soldiers of the War of 1812 ... 3 60
